First, autoplaylists are back (though still not quite as good as before). The Zune Team also added the ability to purchase TV shows and movies through the software, and released a tech preview for the XNA 3.0 game framework (which would allow people to develop their own games)! Even better, this functionality is not restricted to the newest model of the Zune, all models get these updates (take that Apple)! Next of the list of new features is the ability to sync your friend's Zune Cards with your Zune, (If you have a Zune Pass subscription, their favorite and most played songs are automatically synced with your Zune).

The newest Zune software is awesome, but the best improvements come online. "The Social", has been completely retooled, you can even add your Zune Card to other sites (such as Xanga). You can see mine below, and I also added it as a module to my Xanga site. My Zune Card tracks what I'm listening to, and gives you the ability to listen to a clip, buy it yourself, or add it to your favorites--a great way to find out about cool new music to be sure.

Elevator Music Causes Depression

Does it depress you?

Blogged with the Flock Browser

If the money was good enough, would you endorse a product you knew was dangerous?

Depends on how dangerous the product is, as well as it's intended purpose. I would for instance, endorse a kitchen knife set, even though, if used incorrectly, it could kill someone. I would also endorse explosives makers, even though they could be considered very unsafe. I would not, however, endorse a product that is marketed as being safe when it's known to be extremely dangerous. At least with explosives you know the risk!

I just answered this Featured Question, you can answer it too!

Fire Fighters Being Laid Off In Oregon.

I found this to be an interesting story (and before you ask, yes, I know its from Fox News). Personally, I don't really have an opinion about the main issue here, but Oregon's inability to provide an answer to why they weren't making the immigrants learn English is a abhorrent. If you're going to make a decision, make sure you can back it up. I'm curious about other people's take on this clip, so please comment. Oh, and please comment on this blog post, not on the flicker site for the video.
Good Mood Music...

Hey, see that album that I'm listening to right above? That's what I found out this week, as I tried to communicate with their customer service personel. But I'm getting ahead of myself. You see, a few weeks ago I pre-ordered the game Command & Conquer 3: Kane's Wrath from BestBuy.com. While I promptly got my pre-order bonus, it soon became obvious that they had no intention or knowledge of the fact that I had not yet recieved the game. So, the good natured person I am, I contacted their customer service to ask about it.

The ensuing days were filled with miscommunication after misscommunication, with me trying desperatly to get across to them that, while I had recieved the package they sent me, it did not contain the actual game.

Eventually, I got fed up and went to the Best Buy store, hoping to get my problem resolved. There I was told that since my order had already been shiped, they could not help me (even though I had the packlist, product, and cutomer service e-mail with me)! It took me twenty minutes to get them to even give me a refund. They refused to give me the game unless I returned the bonus disk first. A sad day indeed.
Saturday, March 29, 2008

I saw this story on my homepage and I just had to post it. Barney Jones, 36, known in the Jedi church as Jedi Master Jonba Hehol, said a man wearing a black garbage bag and a mask resembling the one worn by villain Darth Vader in the "Star Wars" films jumped over the fence into his garden and attacked him with a metal crutch, The Telegraph reported Friday.

Jones, who founded the first-ever British Jedi Church as a tribute to the popular movie franchise, said the masked assailant also struck the camera crew and a hairdresser.

"This wasn't a joke. This was serious," he said.

Police said they are investigating the incident.

The link to the Gizmodo version is Darth Vader Kicks Jedi Master's Ass With Crutch.

what is the best way to stop procrastinating?

Remove the source of your procrastination.

By subsider34

I just answered this Featured Question, you can answer it too!

Saturday, March 29, 2008

Climate change now a UN human rights issue - Yahoo! First our antarctic glaciers are melting and breaking off faster and faster, then our oceans are rising, inundating islands. All in all, we have to take stronger action on global warming (action that does NOT include biofuels).

Also, this image of a cyclist in Beijing does bring into question the ability of the Chineese government to reduce the pollution to acceptable levels in time for the Olyimpics.
