Happy St. Patrick's Day! I hope you're wearing green (I know I am!). I'll tell my legendary St. Patrick's Day story that was the start of my leprechaunophobia... Well I was in preschool and it was St. Patty's Day. I was so excited because we were going on a leprechaun hunt! The day didn't start too smoothly. My friend Gus was sitting under a picture that the leprechauns (aka my teachers) had so cleverly tilted to the side when all of a sudden it fell on his head. Well i was surprised that these cute little creatures would be so mean, but it was ok. On the playground we watched for the fast little men, but couldn't see any (though i thought i saw like 1,000). The hunt started. We followed dusty little footprints into the big "stage room" and saw a teeny tiny pair of glasses, shoes, and other little accessories. but then... I saw it... a HUGE pair of gloves! (the teachers said it was the gardener's gloves, but i wasn't convinced). The day went on as usual. I jumped in the car at the end of the day and began to tell my mom of the little leprechauns. as i told the story my voice got higher and louder until i began screaming and sobbing that the disgusting scary leprechauns with the HUGE hands were gonna jump out of my walls and eat me. So I was freaked out all afternoon so we finally called my teachers and they told me bunches of times that leprechauns aren't real... but to this day they still creep me out. Wow... that took awhile. I guess it sounds better when my mom tells it. I'm such a nerd! haha
So today was pretty busy. I had homework, had to take my fighting cat to the vet, and study more, and then go to dinner... ok maybe not too busy. Well we went to Molly's Pub, but I couldn't go in (stupid age limit! I could pass as 21 :o) ) I can't believe it's snowing, again! This weather is soo crazy. Hopefully it'll be warm soon! So yesterday I had a full out laugh
attack in Mr. Murphy's class (my friend Morgan was turning purple... he almost died laughing); seriously I do the dumbest things JUST around Mr. Murphy... it's really weird. Haha... he probably thinks I'm such a freak. :oP Last night I saw the Ant Bully. It was such a cute movie! It definitely had a really strong message which I think is really good; it's that people should work together and not just go by "every man for himself." I think it's good that little kid movies have strong morals. I was reading Ishmael (it has a telepathic gorilla so it has to be good!) in our english class and it talked about how there are Takers, who live in their own hands (or so they think), and Leavers, tribal people who live in the hands of "the gods," on earth. Takers began to come around after the agricultural revolution and there are only a few Leavers left. It also associated Cain and Abel with the agricultural revolution... interesting stuff...
So who do you want for president?
Well obviously I'm running out of things to say.... I'm off to chillax with my sister!
Nighty Night! Don't let the bed bugs bite. If they do, squeeze them tight so they don't bite another night. (ok Melanie... you can say it: "NEEEEEERRRRDDDDD!!!".... haha oh the good times :oP)
x's and o's to all! Don't get too drunk tonight!
