Some of you may remember that I have the cutest puppy in the enitre world, See Here, as such I often write songs in his praise. Here are the lyrics to the latest. The melody is vaguely reminiscent of "Thou Swell" while sounding as little like it as possible:

So for those of you who don't know, I have been working for almost 4 months in Marketing for a prestigious French Fashion Company in their Makeup Marketing department. For this, I don't need to know how to do makeup, but I've decided to get better at it anyway. Here is my friend after I did her hair and makeup. This is a very dramatic look, don't you think?

I was curious as to why we call things which are pale, porcelain, a word which very clearly has pig in it's root. So I looked in the dictionary and it does in fact come from the latin Porcellus, meaning little pig. The middle french word for Cowrie Shells was porcelaine, I guess because they thought that cowrie shells look like little pigs. The pottery form we call porcelain, must look like a cowrie shell. And of course, I understand that our color porcelain is so-called because it is pale and reminiscent of the pottery style. What's really funny, is that I saw a porcelain sugar/creamer set shaped like cowrie shells, but I guess it would be funnier if they had been shaped like little pigs. Then they would have been Porcine Porcelain Pieces, or porcelain porcinettes.

It was tres amusante last night. AZCowboy and I were riding home on the train and the seat next to us opened up. A stranger of middle eastern descent got up from where he was sitting to sit next to us. Apparently he didn't want to be seated between two African Americans. But what made him think we wanted to sit next to a terrorist?
