It feels like so long since I've blogged, especially since the last post I wrote was actually from my beautiful wife trying to promote our wedding pictures. For those few people that might accidentally stumble onto my xanga page it provides a way away out of the abyss of nothingness on my page. And btw, she was the one that updated my awesome colors. It's definitely been hard being away from home and from my new wife, family and friends. I want to thank all those people that have tried to stay in touch, because I know I haven't been putting in the effort. It's so hard leaving week in and week out - with nothing much to look forward to except coming back home. It's been hard on me and especially on my wife and I. She is definitely the best. She's amazing the way she is handling this. I knew it would be trying on our relationship, but I didn't know how much it would affect us. There hasn't been too much good come out of this situation, but one thing I can point to is that I truly know how much my wife loves me. And if that isn't something I don't know what is. While it seems that we have been holding up in our new house and hiding away from society, we've really been building up our marriage. Sometimes we may have skipped church, but I don't feel guilty. There was something more important to attend to. I do miss playing ball. I miss hanging out with the boys. But my marriage is more important. The only regret is of the deterioration in my relationship with God. But it's true that you can tell the quality of your walk with God from your relationship with your wife. I want to thank my wife for planning multiple weekend getaways for us. First of all was Vegas. No words can describe it. It was like an adult playground. So much fun. It took all weekend to take it in. Austin was the best. It felt like college again. Haven't felt that way in awhile. Alissa and Eric are awesome. Alissa was so sweet and she really made us feel at home. She was so considerate of us and really made our weekend. She was totally awesome. I didn't know Arthur too well before this weekend, but it was really fun and cool to hang out with him. Always thought he was a little nerdy and this weekend confirmed it!! It was really great to hang out with friends and just have a good time. We didn't have to worry about anything and we just had a blast. Even if it was only 2 days, the memories we made will last forever. Thanks for an awesome weekend, we should do it again!!! |
