If you had a million dollars, what little things would you spend it on? Ignore big things like house/car/savings/investment. What little changes would you make in your life if money weren't an option?

I thought about this after seeing an advertisement for Bowflex. That equipment looks awesome, but they never tell you the total cost of it, which is somewhere around $1000-$1500. Way out of my budget for some time to come. And I also need to buy a laptop, and finance Australia, et cetera et cetera.

So, I started thinking--what kind of those little purchases (little for a millionaire, anyway) would I make? And, perhaps more importantly, what wouldn't I change?

For one, if I was in uncomfortable heels, I would definitely valet my car. Normal shoes, I'd still walk. And as delicious as eating out is, I don't think I'd like to do it too frequently--the good stuff is rarely low fat. I'd get a horse (or two), but I wouldn't buy a whole ranch. I'd still work, even if I was a multi-millionaire. But maybe I wouldn't work the same hours as I'll have to work without the money. And I don't think I'd pay the ridiculous prices of designer clothing, except for maybe the occasional expensive dress ensemble.

I'd also like to do charitable things. There are plenty of them I'd like to support. Locally: Teen Advisors, Begin Again, the local Humane Society, the Valley Rescue Mission. On a bigger scale: the ASPCA, the International Red Cross, Doctors Without Borders, Compassion International. I just can't make a difference when I'm making minimum wage and going to school full-time.

What about you? What would and wouldn't you change?

i'd hire somebody to do three things: grocery shopping, cooking, and dishes. and therefore i'd eat better, and probably be much healthier overall.
i'd also definitely take some sort of marshal art, which tommy already is trying to get us to do.
other'n that, i'd probably stick it in the bank, and use it if we needed it.

oh, and we'd have hot water again.
