Yes...I am still alive!!

You know it's been a long time since you've used Xanga when the interface to sign in has changed...haha. It's almost been 3 months since I've last used this thing. How time flies! I've been super busy with every possible thing you can think of! How has everyone been!?

What have I been doing these past 3 months...let's see...

* work (lots of it!)
* working out (yes 5 times a week still...if I had a gym membership closer to home in addition to the one at RIMAC, I'd work out 7 times a week, haha)
* hanging out with friends (sometimes it's been more than I should be, haha)
* finishing the last of my grad school apps (finished those back in February)
* interviewing and preparing for grad school interviews (UCI, UCLA, USC, U MICH ANN ABOR, NYU, UCB)
* recently started an internship with Employment and Staffing till August (I'm still in HR, just another division)
* visiting friend at UCI
* going to Disneyland (making use of that good ol AP!)

So you see I've been quite busy...not a whole lot of time to do much, especially when you work 40-50 hours a week. Life is pretty darn good right now. I must say I'm probably the most happy I have been in a really long time. Everything is good so far and right now and that's all that matters to me right now.

I'm trying to come up with something to do for my birthday this year. Yeah it's not till June, but the amount of time it takes me to figure out what the heck I am actually going to do, come June I will barely have figured it out, haha. Any ideas?

Has anyone gone cosmic bowling or I guess at Mira Mesa Bowl they call it Thunder Bowl?! Haha. Well anyways, it's so much fun! I want to go again! It's so much better than regular bowling with the lights and music. Ohh...I saw 2 movies this past weekend. I saw Blades of Glory and Reaping. Blades of Glory was hilarious, I loved that movie.  The Reaping...was confusing. It was alright, but not the best I have seen.

I'm going to a Padre's Game tonight! I've never been to Petco Park, so I am excited. I'm not really into baseball, but this is something I'd like to do at least once, haha. It's a HR Department event that I planned, since I am the Fun Event Committee Chair. Sounds kind of dorky huh? :D  I get to plan our departments monthly fun events...so in February I planned a SuperBowl party where there was lots of food and games for an hour during the day. Then in March I planned a March Madness/Fondue Event and then this month (April), I planned a Padres Game which had to be after work hours. I'm really excited though!! There are 63 people going and we opened it to family and friends. I got us really good tickets too. We're sitting in field reserve seats and we are between first base and right field, woot woot!  And we only had to pay $19 per ticket which is half off the regular price! Awesome, yeah?!

Alrighty, that's it for my update. It's back to recruitment...must get people's jobs filled!  Come work at UCSD! Hehehe.

What a relaxing and good weekend!  I haven't been home much for the past week and half or two because I've been hanging out with friends so much, haha. Let's see what have I been up to?

Monday - I think I actually was home that night.

Tuesday - Went to UTC Mall with my co-worker, did some shopping. Eek! I got 2 tops at Express, each for 10 bucks, what a deal!! I got some pinstripe pants at Charlotte Rousse for $20, not bad right? Umm and some stuff at Bath and Body Works!  Yeah, I need to stop shopping, but will I?  Probably NOT! Haha.

Wednesday - Holly Dooooo came down to visit me!  Took her to a Japanase place to eat, met up with Deeps at TapEx, and then went to D&B's to have a drink and play some games. Good times with friends!!

Thursday - Hung out with a friend and did some returns, yes more..they never end cuz I buy too much and then decide eh I don't really need that. :D

Friday - Went to IKEA with a friend to look for new furniture. I need to buy a new chest, preferably a 5 drawer one and then a bookshelf. More money to shell out, yippee! After that did some more returns and then went to TapEx and chilled there for a while. Waited for June's ride to drop her off and then went home. Hung out with June and chit chatted for a while before going to bed.

Saturday - Went to this computer warehouse with my co-worker, ate at Islands, and then shopped a little bit with June, haha. Mervyn's had a really good sale! We both got a pair of Sevens for $35!! Woot Woot! Later that night went to Mike's house and Brian, Christie, Mike, and I cooked dinner for ourselves. We made pork, potatoes, asparagus, bread rolls, and soup. Oh and we also made chocolate chip ice-cream! We are a talented group of individuals, haha. We didn't end up playing board games and instead just talked and watched tv. Pretty relaxing evening I'd say. :)

Sunday - Ran a bunch of errands, cleaned my room, and later that night went to eat dinner with Brian, Christie, and Mike at Pat & Oscar's and then went to watch Children of Men. I thought that movie was pretty good. I've heard mixed reviews though. It seems like a movie that you either like or dislike.

Monday - More errand running, took my car for an oil change...hung out with Cuong and his friends at FV Mall. Spent an hour and half in Victoria's Secret! Geez louise! I don't think I have ever spent that much time there, hahaha. They had an awesome sale though!!! Did some damage there and at Bath and Body Works. After shopping for a few hours, went to dinner at this buffet place off Garnet. Yum yum!

This week is kind of packed too! Ack! Oh yeah, I start my kickboxing class tonight (hopefully I  get in the class since I am crashing it!).  Watch out now! Muahaha. :D

So as I posted earlier, I went to my good friend Andrew's wedding last Saturday. Beautiful wedding ceremony and beautiful reception. So here are some pictures from the wedding!    WARNING: I drank wine that night and lots of it. You'll be able to tell with the pictures what point in the night it was, hahaha.  Ahh can you say major wine buzz?  Hehe

I got through my first week back at work after 10 days last week. Whoo hooo! It wasn't even a full 5 day week, hahaha. It was only a  3 day week. :D  Eek. We'll see how this week goes!  This past weekend was really busy, but very fun also!

Friday after work I went to get my nails done for the wedding I was going to on Saturday. I've never had my nails done before so I thought what the heck I'll try it at least once. I got those gel overlay things..they look pretty! After that my friend and I got some food at Pat & Oscar's to go and took it to the movie theater, hehe..sneaky.  We watched A Night at the Museum and then Casino Royale. I liked both movies. I didn't think I'd like A Night at the Museum because I didn't care much for the previews, but it turned out to be a funny and good movie. The Bond movie was good too. I don't really like the new Bond though. He's not very Bond-ish, eh. Same with the Bond girl...not so great. After movie galore, I went back home and packed up for the weekend!

Saturday got up early to get ready and run a couple of errands before heading up to Andrew & Joyce's wedding. My first stop was to Irvine where Levina did my hair for me (THANKS!). I also got to see Mike which was very cool, since I had not seen him in quite a while! Got my hair done and ate some yummy food (thanks to Mike for feeding me, hehe).  Headed up to Pasadena and was a little LATE to the wedding, argh. Luckily they had started late so I didn't miss too much. The wedding ceremony was SOOO nice!! Ahh..I want to get married, haha.  After the ceremony and picture taking, I went to the YardHouse with some people who came to the wedding that I knew from UCI either through class or APhiO. We killed some time there before heading to Montery Park for the reception. The reception was beautiful too. The program for the reception was super nice too!! I got to see the Lion Dance, which was exciting! There was tons of food and all of it was good...mm Chinese food. :D  I drank a lot of wine, hahaha..my pictures can vouch for that. I got to my friend's place around 1:30 am and passed the heck out, haha.

Sunday I woke up rather early, around 9 a.m. which is early considering I had drank...but I could totally feel the buzz still. I killed some more time and then headed back to SD. Sunday was an eh day cuz I didn't do much, haha. I finally got around to washing my car and vacuuming it. My poor baby had been dirty for about 2 months now, haha. Later in the afternoon I went to get boba with Matt and then came home and cleaned my room up some bit, watched some Arrested Development, and looked at pictures. Such an exciting night I know!

Nothing much going for me this week...anyone else got exciting stuff going in their lives?

Here is a picture from the wedding. This one is nice because a professional photographer took it. Thanks for emailing it to me Andrew!!  The Irvine group picture (L to R: Rex, Austin, Andrew, Joyce, Me, Prashant, Wenli, Holly)

I will post up more pictures from the wedding that I took on my camera tonight (hopefully!)  I have a video from the Lion Dance too, if I can figure out how to upload that. So look forward to wedding pictures, reception pictures, semi-drunken Rashmi, and a Lion dance video. Woot woot!
