Overdue Update

wow, xanga looks really different from 6 months ago.  been away a long time so decided to stop in and write an entry for old time's sake.  =P  haha this was my sustenance in college... all those hours spent whittling away on xanga and now i hardly touch it.  surprised i actually rememeber my pw still.

but i digress.  i will spend the next few minutes doing a whirlwind update on the last 6 months.  if you want details, you'll have to call me, meet me, or e-mail me.  no more learning about my friends by reading their internet journals.  i was actually talking to a co-worker about that today.  she's korean but grew up in bolivia so she has friends all over the place.  she says she hates reading/writing emails b/c it's so inpersonal.  it might be instant or close to instant, but nothing beats hearing a person's voice or seeing their face.  so i apologize for not making a greater effort in college.  i'm working on it.

so let's see.. last entry was in june.  that means i just graduated and moved back to nyc.  since then i've been working at a financial firm in the city.  before you ask "weren't you an education major?" i also started classes at Queens College (getting my master's in special ed) so yes, i am still pursuing that route.  i recieved my provisional teaching certifciation meaning i am allowed by law to teach in nys.   i moved out and am now living in flushing. i did my first alumni visit to geneseo   sheesh..."alumni visit"  i can hear my bones creaking.  it was uber fun and can't wait to do it again.  speaking of bones creaking i just found out a friend i've had since junior high just got engaged! (congratulations jennie!)  we always knew she'd be the first one to get married but wow... i always said i wouldn't start feeling old until people my age started getting engaged.  definitely happened sooner than i thought.  but i'm super happy for her.

alrightie.. thanks for reading my whirlwind update.  and remember if you want details, call/email and we'll meet up.

there is no future
there is no past
thank God this moment's not the last

there's only us
there's only this
forget regret or life is yours to miss

no other road, no other way
no day but today

i'm a graduate!!!

the only downside to living in a house as opposed to a dorm- having to pack up an entire house instead of a dorm

5 more days til graduation! how unreal

congratulations to the class of 2006
