| | God, it feels like years...
I'm sure you can relate...
Well, this place is nice and quiet, and I'll be honest, it pretty much as been that way for the past two years...
aahh, high school, i'm glad your days are over, but i coulda done so much more
regrets?
...dunno...
do i like what i do now...?
...no
Joining the Marine Corps I suppose in the long run was a good decision, ya know, resume and business plan wise, but it is no place for a family...
I am on call 24/7 for four years straight literally regardless of whether its the weekend, or i am on leave, or anything, they can call me back in a second's notice at any time for any reason. It is up to the unit's discretion
that's motivation for you right there...
not really... and lemme just say, half of the 200,000 marine corps force abuse their so-called "rank privileges" that it is enough for one to just sit down in the corner and stop actively participating in life. I am serious.
You just want to stop and go back to a time long ago with no responsibilities and laughter and love and fun.
But i will admit though, I've met some great friends. Tim, Akai, Willie, Onza, RP, Kinkade, Bolling, Harkins, Diaz, Rocha, Green, Lush, etc. etc.
That is the one good thing in the Marines: the comradery amongst such a closeknit faction of men.
But the higher ups....(deep sigh), they are constantly on your shoulders...all junior marines shoulders...it gets really old really fast
but, technically, I can't complain, I am only a Lance Corporal after all
a mere push over
but you know what's crazy? The Lance Corporal rank makes up about fourty percent of the entire Marine Corps Fleet.
Crazy right? It's because that's where many people give up (can't blame 'em) and grow stagnant and stay that rank for years and years and years until they can get out.
Anywhom, other than that, my family life is great. You learn how to live happily and abundantly with no money after awhile...teehee
I can't wait to get out of the Corps though...I wanna go to Seminary...thank you G. I. Bill
and, I'm putting together a Business Proposal right now for opening up an Art Gallery slash library slash coffee shop...
it'll be my own business, delving unhesitantly into all things eclectic, underground, and counter culture...think sophisticated wine tastings with a dash of summer of love 67' in Haight Ashbury...
hell yeah....
the only way to get rich is to work for yourself...you heard that right? No way you can get rich when you are an employee....you gotta be the employer.
All I gotta do is submit my proposal to a bank for a modest loan concern initial establishment costs and then from there, i'll have sales to hopefully bring in a survivable way of life for myself and my family.
That'll be great..
Plus, I just plain feel I'm being called to Seminary.
I'm trying to stay alive art and poetry wise...doing my best to stay productive in those areas of my life because they truly are my passsion, and god has blessed me with a smidge of talent in those areas so why put it to waste? It's what I feel, ultimately, God put me on this earth to do...
anywho, and the family is great like I said. Arin, Xavier, and Bella are the world's greatest treasures.
Ever.
Hands down.
You should seriously be jealous.
You really should.
Anyway, that's all for now
Seacrest out.
