The pictures above are of orphans in Romania. These kids live in horrible conditions, many of them, for the entire lives. Some stay in cribs for hours and hours because the orphanages and institutions they're in don't have enough staff to take care of them all. There are teenagers who wheigh 40lbs because they are so malnurished. There are teenagers and people into their 20's who've never learned to walk because they've never been taken out of the cribs they've spent their entire childhood in. These kids are just left because no one wants them. Most are left because they have disabilities. The sad part is that most of them get disablities in these places. Some kids are kept in the back of adult mental facilites! They become emotionally detached from having so little human contact. Children who develope a little slower than their peers or kids who are just cross-eyed are taken for mentally retarded. These kids are being hurt emotionally, and physically for no fault of their own. Many of them are "normal" and could live decent "normal" lives if someone would just spend time with them. All these kids really need is love and good care. Isn't the greatest love, Christ's love? Doesn't God care for all of his children? If so, then why don't we do something. How dare we complain about cellphones, computers, and HDTV, when these kids don't have enough food, attention, or people who care! We could make a difference in their lives! We could help! BRBC Youth Group especially, and any Christian, or anybody else who reads this for that matter, in general, we CAN do something. It's just a matter of if we WILL. Missions trips, contacting churchs there and sending toys, blankets, diapers, money, anything that would help. We've got to do something. The links above the pictures are to articles on this subject. I'm expecting a lot of comments on this guys. I want to know what you think and what we can start doing now.
