Ok, please excuse this preachiness but i'm angry (lack of better words) about what i have just seen over the past week.  First of all, dont blame this series on the refs, they made some extremely horrible calls but those didnt make or break the series and this is the first time in the playoffs when we didnt get the calls so suck it up.  The mavs had complete control of their own destiny in game three and blew it.  Teams that blow 13 point leads shouldnt be the champions.  It our own fault that whenever we have the lead or get something going we jack up ridiculous threes which kills all momentum. Miami was the team that had an offence in the 4th quarter, not us.  We played stupid basketball and payed for it.  Jet was 2-11 in game from the 3 point line and still shot them.  It killed so much momentum for us.  Also, I was like to take this time to chew out dirk.  I have possibly been the strongest believer in dirk during this season (if u dont believe me think of all the things ive done for him ie. shirts, posters, etc.)but when out team leader is not going to step up at all in the playoffs as well then we shouldnt win.  Dwyane Wade stepped up and single handedly led him team to victory (with a little help from the refs).  I tip my hat to him because he deserved it.  He was the stud to step up, not dirk.  If it was the other way would be celabrating on the streets, not ranting about the mavs on your profile.  All I can say is that by the way we played, its not the refs fault, its our own fault and i believe that very much so on how we cant execute in the clutch.  Ask john, jacob, or boyer.  I yelled the last 8 minutes of the game that we need to buckle down, not shoot 3's, play defence, and dirk needed to step up.  But hey, maybe next year will be our year.

yea, so steven heflins going away party last night was so much fun other than the fact that i had to walk around with a washcloth on my face all night because i cut my cornea previously that day.  I even had to go to the ER to get it looked at.  At stevens party, bull rushing him and shooting him with water guns and silly string, loading garretts car up with 72 baloons, and soaking steven with water baloons was a lot of fun.  so should i get a buzz for the summer?

i guess this would be a good time for my montly update.  last night was really fun i thought.  i went with terri and ate out and saw a movie.  also, w/ UIL coming up this next week some of us had some extra time in the parking lot so we did nothing else but dance to push it.  I got a compliment dancing on daves truck.  hahaha. and then jake beat osar at a dance contest.  that was pretty funny even though osar got a little too into it.  o yea, andrew malis threw a milkshake at me at Arby's.  that was pretty funny.  i cant wait for the AP exam to be over.  seriously. led zeppelin is possibly the best band ever.  i now have all of their songs.

Since I know how much Bode Miller is an inspiration to all americans and is a role model I thought I would make a list of his intellectual quotes.

But there was no question in my mind that I was gonna still go for it. I was still going for the win. I wasn't skiing for second or third place today, and in the end I think that's probably what got me there.
Bode Miller

It's not quite as important who you beat as that you end up on top.

I always do the contrary of what my coaches tell me.

I think people should be able to do what they want to do.

I made a series of little mistakes. I didn't expect to do so well, I'm really pleased.

Records are less important for me than what if feel when I come down the mountain.

My goal is the same as every year - to not hurt myself.

"I just did it my way. I'm not a martyr, and I'm not a do-gooder. I just want to go out and rock. And man, I rocked here,"

"I've been living my life as if I might have died two weeks before the Olympics started," he said. "That left me the opportunity to dig deep, to go down that other route

"Me, it's been an awesome two weeks," Miller said. "I got to party and socialize at an Olympic level."

"The same people who recognize I came out with no medals should recognize I could have won three."

"It's important for me to live my life honestly," he said. Besides, he added, "I was only out one night before a race."
