| Work & School Meanwhile i found a job at UH for the summer which pays like $10 an hour, i get my own office, and they gave me a 12' ibook to use! so that is pretty sweet.
Summer school.... 9 hours every day basically as with work so right now im pretty busy until 6pm everyday.
MacBook Pro = Returned DOA Ok, so I recently returned my MacBook Pro due to the many problems I had with it...
Here is the list:
Whining noises
Uneven closing of the lcd screen
Dead pixels
crapy wireless signal
poor battery life
problems when you take out the battery (processor goes down to 1ghz)
So... I will wait till they get everything all sorted out before I
purchase another apple machine. Intel is coming out with new mobile
processors like July 23rd, and now apple currently offers free ipod's
with a purchase till mid september so i may wait till they offer them
in their new laptops.
Among other new thing's i want to have in it is.... hybrid hard drive
(flash + platter hd) all in one so it makes things mucho faster. 64 bit
processing. Universal Binaries for all. Right click button. And who
knows what else...
PS. Mavs win game 1!!!!!!!!! D. Wade is still awsome, but i <3 dallas.

Ok so the first item on today's list is a new flavor from good ole Ben&Jerry. I think i might go check this bad boy out later today at the local grocery store. The neapolitan dynamite is a mixture of Cherry Garcia and Chocolate Fudge Brownie, talk about food item of the monthe! First i gotta see how it tastes, but I will let everyone know how it turns out. 2nd item on the list today are a pair of M-Audio Studiophile DX4 monitor speakers to go with that M-Audio MobilePreUSB on that MacBook Pro. These babies are hot! They look awsome, and they sound awsome, and they make me feel awsome. Cheap desktop speaker / monitor set if anyone is on the look out for something like this, i recommend these. Although maybe not the MobilePreUSB. I am not knockin' it but if I had to do it all over again I think I would go for a fireware alternative.
As far as life, my summer is almost over. I start summer school May 30, 2006. I am currently enrolled in 9 hours this summer, and I have an on campus job lined up starting in the next few weeks. I am not quite sure of my job description yet but the pay will be around $10 an hour and 20 hours per week.
I am really glad finals are over, I think this might be my best semester yet. Right now I am back at home in my new small cramped room due to my sister stealing my other one.
That is all for today, mt

| Men & Their Toys... MacBook Pro
Now if you know me you will know I am one of the biggest "Windows Fanbois" on this planet. I have basically been against purchasing an Apple machine since the day I learned about Windows 3.1. So why you ask did I make this purchase? Well I will explain it in 2 different ways so you will understand...
For the Girls
It looks sooooo cute AHHH! It's so small and light, I want one!!!!! It only has 1 button? Now I won't get confused on which one to click! and its silver too!
For the Guys Now the new Apples come equipped with Intel Core Duo's which enable them to run windows and OS X at the same time. 1.83Ghz Core Duo (up to 2.16) 1 gig of Ram (up to 2gb) 80gb Sata HD iSight & built in mic Backlit Keyboard 5.6 lbs 15.4' WideScreen 2 usb 2.0, 1 ieee1394, 1 dvi-out Bluetooth + Wireless Built in
Now those are just the specs but what makes it stand out exactly? Well you can have all the benefits of OS X (minus rosetta) with the UB's of all supported apps. The biggest downfall to Apples was the ability to NOT PLAY games. But now that you are able to run windows, you can take full advantage of the high-end hardware. Now it comes with an ATI x1600 graphics card, but it is underclocked. This limits the ability of the card to almost 35% of what it's maximum capabilities. The up-side is with the underclocked card it makes this machine SILENT. I can't even hear a fan running, the only time would be if you put in a CD/DVD and you can hear the drive spin up.
So far the switch has been pretty easy, and here I will list apps that I have found useful or am looking into.
Final Cut Studio Pro Tools Chax + iChat Azureus Office 2004 BootCamp + MacDrive Parallels + Virtue FireFox iAlarm
Any others? I need lots of help, so if anyone is really familiar with
Apple Computers and the way they work or can give any tips let me know!
Cons: Lack of Apple to PC video chat, disk defragment utility, battery life (4hrsish), 2 button touchpad, price
Pros: fast, really fast, stylish, light + thin, the fact that when you pull it out everyone around you notices you
All in all I love it!!!
