| Returned from camp yesterday. I'm going to miss everyone I met... adults and campers. It's weird how someone can move to a completely different location and have an almost completely new life within a couple of months. Camp was an awesome experience and is tough to describe in words. It's such a completely different environment and I really enjoyed it. Michael summed up the summer on the plane to Dallas: "I left, I hated it, I loved it, I came back." Thank you all for your prayers. We were able to see results from counseling the kids even while we were still there. For example, I had the 4-5 year olds and one of the first weeks one asked me "What is God?" By the end of the summer I had all of them answering my "Who made ______?" questions with a vehement "God did!" I hope and pray that we made an impact on the community there.
When they are diminished and brought low
through oppression, evil, and sorrow,
he pours contempt on princes
and makes them wander in trackless wastes;
but he raises up the needy out of affliction
and makes their families like flocks.
The upright see it and are glad,
and all wickedness shuts its mouth.
Whoever is wise, let him attend to these things;
let them consider the steadfast love of the Lord.

| I leave for camp tomorrow. Please pray for the counselors (and everyone involved, for that matter)--that we will be a testimony to Christ and make a positive impact on these kids' lives.
Have a great summer!
Your word is a lamp to my feet
and a light to my path.
(PS: I might be able to update from camp a little. Don't hold your breath though!) |

| I dreamed last night that my jaw was hurting. So I opened my mouth and moved my bottom teeth around a little bit in order to stretch my mouth. I did this a couple of times, and then the left side of my jaw popped. Literally. The left side of my face was hanging down with my mouth hanging open. I was trying to tell my mom what happened ("muah, ah... mah, ah...") when I woke up.
Maybe it was a bad idea to not get my wisdom teeth taken out last Friday. Oh well!
