The Camels

On Thursday the 24th of March, Jane, her mum, her mums friend and daughter and I went to Jive to watch the Camels.  We'd seen them with thirsty merc not too long ago and thought they were really good. We got there and straight away started getting merchandise.  Jane first bought their badge. I then bought a badge, a black tshirt which says 'Ive been a bad bad puppy dog' and a stubby holder which says the same thing.  We grabbed drinks and went back to our seats.  The trafalgars were on first... they werent that bad... a bit boring for me i think..  then soon after they played the camels came on.  It was really funny before the bands started playing because the basist and drummist from the camels sat near janes mum and friend just doing stuff and me and jane were so jealous that they were so close to them.. and from then on jane and i kept our eyes open for tim the guitarist and his brother who is the lead singer.  we both think tim is hot and well im sorta starting to think the lead singer is hot too... did i mention they are brothers hehe. i was loving every moment of their gig i was so happy that i went. i only wish that the doctor song (dont know the actual name) was on their album or even on a single because i really love that song.  its so catchy.  when they finished the gig we went back to the merchandise area and i bought a tank top that has the camels logo on it.. (ive been wearing it alot) jane bought the same top and a normal tshirt that has the camels logo on it. and the other girl i forgot her name bought a hat, which she got all the members of the band to sign... lucky her.  She had never seen or heard of them before.  overall that was an awesome night!!!

My car is finally fixed! Its about $2000 or maybe a little more but because i got it done through my daddys work the people said theyd get me to pay only $1500 ive given my mum most of the money i just need a couple hundred more and then another $300 for insurance and registration.  there goes all my money i earned.  Back to saving again.  Oh well at least i have my car back to drive around and get the freedom i once had.  Im now driving myself to work at nights.. to save my dad picking me up at 12am. 

Saturday night

I was supposed to go clubbing with Soo and Jasmine but Jas was sick so we didnt end up going.. instead i went with Sarah, Andrew, Scott and Mark.  First me and sarah met at the station so we could go to the casino before meeting up with the guys.. this time i didnt have any luck and lost money and sarah won money so she shouted me to a couple of drinks which was cool after that scott and andrew met up with us and we went to 108s.  I didnt really want to go but seeing as it was free meh who cares.  The chicks werent that hot... maybe just a little bit... but not over the top.  what do you expect if its free entry.. seeing a girl strip for the first time was cool but then it happened every 5 minutes and i got bored with it.  Mark met up with us there and we chilled out for a while and then decided to leave. We went to the tattoo store because andrew wants to get a tattoo on his back saying 'don't give up the fight'.  Sarah and i want to get a little tattoo of a flower or something.. we looked through heaps of pictures but its hard to choose knowing they will be there forever.  i dont think my parents especially my mum would like it if I got a tattoo.. she hates the fact that i wanted to get my belly button done ages ago.. id like to get below my bottom lip done.. the only thing is i wouldnt be able to wear it at work.. id need to put a bandaid over it which sucks... anyway after the tattoo place we went in and out of a fancy pub and started walking down hindly... i really wanted to go to a club seeing as that was what i originally had planned mark did too.. sarah, andrew and scott didnt seem as interested but finally we turned their heads around and headed in the direction of church niteclub. on the way we stopped at hungry jacks to grab a small bite to eat as we were hungry.  straight after we went to church.  we got in and went straight up stairs.. and started to dance.. the music up stairs was all rnb which i like and so does sarah and mark. so we were enjoying it.  after a while we decided to go downstairs.. now i didnt know that there were two sections of the club there was an rnb and techno room.. we all went to the techno room and started dancing.. it was mainly me and sarah and then the boys would be somewhere else.  as we were dancing there were always guys trying to dance with us.  this one time a guy who looked like he was in his late 20's started dancing really close to me.. sarah thought it was funny and moved at the back with the boys leaving me with the guy.. so there i am dancing with guy who i think was adam or something like that and well he was kinda weird.. haha.. he was twirling me around and getting close.. he said something like 'do you want to go see my friend and thats when i got mark to come over and i told the guy that mark was my boyfriend and then he fucked off.. haha.. after a while of dancing in the techno room me and sarah moved back up to the rnb room.  straight away as i walked in this guys looks at me and says hey.. but in a weird way like 'im hot and you know it so talk to me' hahaha he wastnt hot though.. so me and sarah walked back out and he grabs my hand and says whats your name... i said why and sarah cracked herself up laughing.. so i told him my name was marie and that i wasnt interested.  it felt good to turn guys down.. haha.. and then as we went downstairs again some guy tried chatting me up again.. i didnt take much notice in him.. i was too tired from all the dancing.  i much prefered the techno room.. and i think so did the others.. especially andrew who made up his own moves haha.. they were so cool. im gald everyone enjoyed themselves.  i know i did.  soo lee promised me that wed go this saturday but shed take me to better clubs like red square where we'd get in free coz she knows the dj and bouncers.  so im really looking forward to that. 

Today has been a pretty ok day.  I had a nice long sleep in, watched tele with my mum and then my mum walked Jazz and me to the bus stop for me to go to work.  I had to get there early as I had a staff meeting.  That went well, we just found out how we were going and stuff like that… then at the end we were told that one staff member from wok, subway, and BP would receive two tickets to any movie and a box of chocolates for being such good workers and as you’ve probably already guessed I received them for wok in a box.  I kind of thought I would haha… I'm so modest.  Straight after the meeting I started to work and it had been non stop for the rest of the night.  I ended up working over time because I was soo busy. 

There are two things I'm looking forward to tomorrow… and that’s getting my car back… fingers crossed… my dad is going to ring me sometime tomorrow for me to pick it up so yay!!!  And the other thing I'm looking forward to is seeing the camels!! I have a day off tomorrow but then I'm working throughout Easter besides Sunday… I have that off… lucky me… I like cheese.

This week was basically work and getting prepared for my good friend Jess’ birthday.  Wednesday morning Michael and I went to town to go get masks for the party. (Jess was having a masquerade party) so I bought a fancy green mask to go with my dress,  Michael bought a Zorro mask and we bought Scott a similar one.  Then on Friday Scott and I went to Elizabeth and bought presents for Jess... yeah I know it was very late to get them.  We bought her Playboy slippers, a drinking game, chocolates, a fancy candle, three underwear, a Betty Boop bag and bangles. We wrapped all the presents individually to make it more interesting for her.  Saturday came and Michael came over around midday and we hung out at home… then I got ready to go. Scott picked us up we went to the party.  Nothing unusual happened… just the usual drinking and chatting to people. I didn’t get too drunk but there came a point where I wasn’t feeling to well but I think that was because I didn’t really have anything to eat all day.  Silly me.  We ended up crashing the night except Scotty who had another party to go to during the night but never came back… when he finally did decide to come back we were all getting ready to crash. Today was good when we got home… Michael and I decided to do a 1500 piece jigsaw puzzle… we did the edgings and a little bit of the inside and that was it.  We also played AFL on the Xbox which is always fun.. and other games...

Friday I started work at 10am and finished around 10pm and had no break.  And that day was none stop.  Then Saturday I started at 10 again and finished at 5 well it was supposed to be that time but I ended up staying back maybe 40 minutes helping the girls.  Anyway my dad picked me up from the station and I got home had a shower and got ready to go to the party…(my cousins 21^st birthday bash) as soon as I got there I walked into soo many models and gay guys.  My uncles were loving it... They carried their cameras everywhere and took pictures of the models saying that they were taking photos for Chris’ birthday.  Anyway I wasn’t a big fan of the music.  It was all techno.  Nic new the music wouldn’t be great so he bought his portable cd player.  I ended up listening to music most of the night. Even his music was bad.  Haha… it was rap.  Two kinds of music I can stand.  That and country haha. I’m glad to be home listening to my music.  On Sunday I had a huge sleep in although my poor mum had to start work at 6am.  Basically all I did was go on the internet, watch television and play games.  Pretty boring.  And now today I’ve just been watching TV with mum and reading the paper. I'm working tonight at 6 but I'm going to try and get there early to do some book work.  I'm not sure if any of this is making sense because I'm listening to tripod and it’s hilarious. Ok going now... entry finished! 

My day has been pretty good! I had a nice sleep in, watched some Jerry Springer, then came on the internet to talk to people and send emails.  I had to take some pictures of the big room for dad and send them to him via email...  I found out tonight that it was to show one of my dads work mates the 'cinema' as he likes to call it.  While I was on the net I talked to my loving boyfriend and Jane who were on there.  Later Scott came on so I talked to him.  Haha he told me that his lips were even bigger than they already were.  Poor Scotty has a cold and he took penicillin and he had an allergic reaction to it which made his lips bigger and other things.. but I found the lip thing hilarious.  Although its not something I should laugh at.. but he found it funny too.  So yeah anyway, I got to talk to people. 

Afterwards me and mum got ready to go to the city because Hyatt was having some girls movie night and mum had two tickets so I went along with her.  We decided to go early so we could play at the casino for a while.  We played on the pokie machines at first and well it lasted a while but in the end my $20 went down the drain.  After the movies we went back for half an hour to wait for my dad to finish work.  We played roulette this time and well mum didn’t want to play so she gave me $20 and I came out of it with $150 not bad.  And that was that.  I like roulette but im not going to go every weekend to play its fun once in a while.  I'm tempted to play black jack next time.
