my doubt in a sonnet.

for you, my knees are tied and minding this pew.
but finding these rows, are rows and not forgivness,
i'm left alone. i'm watching the kings fall through;
and only to find betrayal within my kiss.

i throw my stones. my pride, it has me throwing
from piles i've piled. the times are trying. i'm tired
and sick and living without a hope for growing.
in soil so selfish and burdend by water admired.

but raking the leaves from under this tree, at least
i'll find some green here among the brown, and pile
them high like south from north and west from east.
you'll clean my hands and cry for my defiled.

by faith or not, my knees do find this pew.
i hope, yes hope to find my lies are true.

Thoughts of the Unispired.
No, inspiration is only as good as you make it. or you allow it. The lack of inspiration makes us long and search with all of the strength left in the weary hands that attempt to grasp... they will continue to reach for a truth for all truths. In the beggining God said, let US make man in our own image, so in the image of God he created them... male and female. God is both masculine and feminine. funny how we put boxes on an infinate mystery... isn't it? i do it daily. momentarily. each instant contains an understatement of his grace, spoken by my mouth thought in my head or written by my hands. God took a piece out of Adam and made him a bride : Eve. He then gave Adam the piece of himself back... in the form of Eve. this is then paralleled with Jesus. Jesus was complete and then on the cross he was pierced just like Adam and a piece taken out of him. and then returned as a bride. The bride of Christ. The church. You and I. We were created for a deep intimacy with Jesus.

I hope to make myself nothing.

i hope.

No Sandcastles Here, Not In My Sandbox

That box seemed
a mighty clay chunk
in my hand.
Six years old, and
I'm already digging holes
that won't be filled.

Sand shoveling--
one, two, three pockets;
they won't be emptied.
Not to the form
of the castle in my dreams.
A blessed castle-- dead
even for good hearts.

Today I am strong;
back straight, head up.
The box seems much smaller;
though imperative it remains.
I want to know it well again--
to fit it in my hand.

In it, someday,
I will make castles.
Sand shoveling--
one, two, three scoops.
Digging that child from the box
I'll find the true me--
an architect of sand.
