| Roadtripping to Southern California for Wedding #6
Last weekend brought us to sunny California for the wedding of Kevin and Cassi. Alfred flew in via Reno to join us on the drive. We stopped off at The Mad Greek in Baker so Alfred could try out their lamb souvlaki while we grubbed on deep-fried mushrooms and zucchini. We then headed onward to BJ's Restaurant and Brewhouse in Huntington Beach for the rehearsal dinner. Then it was off to the church for the actual ceremony rehearsal. We finally checked into our hotel at Embassy Suites in Brea for our weekend stay.
Since breakfast was provided at the hotel, we woke up just in time to eat and then back to bed we went. We finally emerged to pick up the tuxedo rentals before hitting happy hour at TAPS Fish House and Brewery in Brea. Heather and VJ also joined us for the day as we continued on our adventures by getting foot massages at Life Reflexology in Westminster. (We drove all over town looking for a place to get a good rub down, and indeed, we were worked!) We then headed to Downtown Disney in search of corn dogs (Reggie was craving them!), but we couldn't find them. Instead, we ate at Jazz Kitchen Express and watched the fireworks over Disneyland. (Teri has since learned that these amazing corn dogs are only available inside the park! Guess that means we'll just have to go back...and that means more turkey legs for her!)
As we waited for Randy to arrive from Reno, Heather saw the Doubletree Hotel nearby and raved about their cookies. So, Heather and Teri walked right in, asked for 6 cookies, and walked right out.
Saturday is the big wedding day and the ceremony wasw held at San Joachim Catholic Church in Orange. The reception was held over a golf course in the Los Coyotes Country Club in Buena Park. It was a lovely day where Reggie got to catch up with his college buddies!
Our last day in Orange County and we coudn't say no to crawfish! Back to Westminster we go for the place that taught us all about crawfish the Vietnamese way - The Cajun Corner! We also grab some Vietnamese sandwiches from Lee's Sandwiches before heading back to the desert!
Another wedding down...but don't worry...we still have a couple more this year!

| Wedding #5 of 2008 - Riverside-bound!
The past weekend brought us to the beautiful Mission Inn in Riverside, CA for Jason and Joanna's wedding. After arriving on Friday night, we met up with the wedding couple for a rehearsal dinner at Raxx BBQ in downtown Riverside.
The ceremony took place in the Oriental Courtyard the next morning before cocktails in the Glenwood Tavern and lunch in the Music Room. After a Saturday afternoon siesta, we emerged for dinner at Saffron in the Riverside Art Museum just down the street.
We managed to take a tour of the Mission Inn on Sunday because of their bridal open house. After checking out their gorgeous rooms and grabbing a bite to eat, we headed back to the desert heat of Vegas.
Another wedding just around the corner!

| Celebrating 31 Years of Life...
On July 12th, Teri turned 31! On the Friday before, we tried out the romantic French restaurant of Pamplemousse. And then on Saturday, we met up with a couple of Reggie's friends for dim sum at Ping Pang Pong and frozen custard at Luv-It's Custard. We then headed over to Reggie's cousin's house where they were celebrating Matthew's 7th birthday! On Sunday, we caught up with the Las Vegas production of Mamma Mia! at Mandalay Bay.
Another sweet birthday passes for these two Cancers!
