    Don't Be Shallow

Sooo... It's been a while (and a while since I've also stated the obvious). I figured it was time to update or at least type out some lame half-ass excuse for an entry... It appears I'll be doing both.

I'm still currently in Oklahoma.... and I do not mind a bit. I actually like it here (Even though the majority of the hottie men are taken/married). But, alas, I am to return to Nor Cal upon graduation (which will not, unfortunately, be this Spring... ) and help out at home. That aside, I haven't been up to anything really exciting. I'm working for collegeboard now. Answering phones and filing papers... yeah... It's not bad. Typing up cases for people who can't get their shit together... But it pays a whole bunch better than Wal-Mart... and the best part is that it's not Wal-Mart. Oh yeah... I'm still going to school too... *sigh*

As for my personal life it's really about the same. I've made some kick ass friends, but not many guy *wink wink* friends. In other words, my romatic life is shit. It's been getting marginally better though... just a little.

So that was my update. Now, onwards to my lame half-ass entry! YES!

Ok, so here goes... Yeah... I got nothing. I'll update later. I swear! Soooo... until next time!

  • Well.... School is FINALLY out... or rather it was over and done with last Thursday... after my 9am Psych final...  (Which I TOTALLY bombed... Why? I ask myself... it was my easiest class... EASY... and I did shit on the final... *sigh*  Some things are too mysterious to ever be answered... )

Anyways... I'll be making a trip back to Cali (Well, NorCal, at least) for my Sister & Eric's wedding on the 10th of June (ok ok... I know they're already married... but this is their CATHOLIC wedding ceremony) Joy... an hour and a half of church... (it's a high noon mass/wedding ceremony... and it's NOT even on a Sunday... bleh) I'm a bridesmaid... in a pretty dress... too bad it's not my color (which I think is specifically why my sister picked it out... suspicious! )

Ok ok... enough about wedding stuff (Lord knows I hear about it often enough) What has been happening in my sack lack of a life?...  Well... My sister and niece left for Cali last Friday (to prep for wedding stuff with my mom), leaving my brother-in-law and I to clean up the house, sort through stuff (I gotta toss a bunch of old clothes and stuff) and starve  (We have NO food ... I'm going to die before I get a chance to go shopping...) I am still working (at Wal-Mart... yay... ) But I'm not going to take any summer classes this year... I don't want to deal with school until the fall. I am swearing off of make-up until the wedding (hopefully by then my little traces of adult acne (the joy of growing up... you get to prefix adult to any adolescent problems... the irony) will be gone and I won't have to get prodded at by all my family attending the wedding (If you can't pick at the Bride... why not her sister?  Oh Family!)

Hmm... what else am I doing... Well, I woke up an hour ago, fed the cats (one of which I found in the crawl space yesterday.. How the fuck he got up there, I don't even know...), ate some of last night's leftovers, and then I stole the use of my brother-in-law's computer to archive my music. It's hogging all the freakin space on my external... I'm archiving it all and then deleting what I don't really listen to anymore... *sigh*... (there goes my high school music ) .... So yeah... that's about it... So far it's been a "Blah" day... )

Sooooo... I guess I'll update...  I mean, seeing as how it's been a while since my last post thingy. Hmmm.... what has been happening in my life since then?... Well.. I got a job (Yes... I now work for the souless corporation known as Wal*Mart) I'm a cashier who has to smile at people; that is all. It's not hard or relatively taxing until you gat bitchy customers who whine if you bag their cheese with their hot dogs. Or when you get a lady who smells like she was bathing in kitty litter, moves real slow, wants to pay in as much coin change as she possibly can, and who's buying 50 bazillion cans of catfood all at comp pricings (which mean's I'm the lucky one who gets to enter all 50 bazillion of them into the computer by hand, while she complains about freakin cheese... oh joy!  )

Anyways... School is still goin' on. Spring break was last week... and I worked. Yeah... No parties until the wee hours of the morning, no vacation... I worked. Oh! I ate too! (can't forget the eating) and I slept as much as I possibly could.  (I know, I know... but I NEVER said I was an exciting person)

I did get invited to go to an Anime convention in Dallas. I believe it's mid-June, which is around the time of Andy & Eric's wedding... So I don't know if I'll be able to go  *sigh*  Ah well... I also need to save up my $$$ (I mean, besides being able to pay for school, I also need a plane ticket and money for a bridesmaid dress... *sigh*)

Ummm... Hmmm... *sigh*... I can't think of anything else... I'll just finish this later if I remember something interesting...

Battlestar Galactica - Season One (2004)

Sick sick sick sick sick... I'm sick (and have been for the past 3 days... Which is why last weekend I geeked out on Battlestar Galactica for 13+ hours! And why Apollo is a main character when he's such a pansy, I'll never know!) I have a headache, an upset tummy, I sound like an 80 year old woman, and I cough as though I'm about to hackup my left lung (which I am positive would not be a good thing). I have told my sister that I have "The Consumption" (Yes, I said THE consumption. I'll explain why later). It's probably a throat irritation/sinus thing... but somehow "The Consumption" sounds slightly cooler (I know I'm a dork, you don't have to tell me).

Also, due to my immersion in the Midwestern culture, I have discovered that anytime you have an illness you have to add "the" infront of it (I guess this qualifies as "later"). Such as: My Grandma gots "the cancer" or That man over there has "the diabetes". No lie. Tons of people say it out here (Oh those Midwestern quirks!)...

Ummm... That was really all I wanted to say, or rather, type. Anyways... here's a picture of my sister, Andrea, and brother-in-law, Eric... and then a picture of them feeding my neice cake.

About Me

  • I am a 5'6" Korean/Mexican, yes... we are an endangered species... In fact, I always wanted to be a svelte, leggy, red-headed bombshell (not a step-child...)... but alas... It was not meant to be. *sigh*
