My eye hurts right now because a couple of nights ago Lucas, Jayson and myself got drunk at Mo's Tavern and decided to beat each other's asses and burn cigarettes into each other's arms.

We keep telling everyone we got in a fight with Bears of Blue River... this dece band in town.

Hanna McPhee was in town for about five days. We thought she was staying longer but she just passed her driver's test today and decided to go back home. (We had to drive to Ohio so she could take it.)

We had a lot of fun while she was here.... saw some shows and had some dance parties.

Right now Hannah, Tabor, Jayson, and Lucas are seeing The Black Angels and The Warlocks in Cleveland.

Scott and Jon just got back home from Detroit.
Gary is coming to Muncie tomorrow from Detroit.
And Heidi, Nick, Coco and TJ are coming here Friday.

Friday we're playing at Mo's Tavern (like the simpsons lolz) with Scott Darda and The Bears of Blue River.

Life is good.
And I have the black eye to prove it.

Last night Jayson and I were going to see Control but earlier in the day when we had gone downtown to book some shows, a manager from Doc's told us to just play -that- night since their dj had cancelled.

So we went back to the house, smoked out of the hookah... made Rich cook us spaghetti and all practiced for four hours... Went right back to Doc's ... got really drunk and played our shit.

It was pretty funny. Some guy kept telling us to play Metallica... and it was the same guy who was hitting on Vicky and Brit trying to buy them drinks.

Anyways .. I think it went pretty good for our first show and especially considering we've only been here about 2 and a half weeks. And especially considering they let us drink free PBR all night. I think that was our main motivation for playing actually....

Anywho, I just found out that the film series was cancelled last night because of rainy weather so they rescheduled it for tonight.... so i guess I get to see Control after all.

I've been in Muncie for about two weeks now and the band has been practicing almost non-stop (and doing a lot of house painting on the side.)

Right now Scott is pretty set on our name being The Minotaurs... but I'm not sure.

I liked Jon's suggestion of ''The 7 Inches or Don't Bother''

We should have a myspace up soon with some demo. But for now we have one show scheduled at The Village Green on June 18th with Fontana from Detroit.

Speaking of Village Green Records... our 3rd day here we were all walking around town and we ended up there... anyways a bunch of people live there and just decided to come hang out and drink at our house. But ever since then they've been hanging with us a lot. Especially me and Jayson since we're 21 and can go out to bars.

It's just nice because I was honestly not expecting to meet that many cool people here...

Travis from VGR told me to go see his film series tomorrow at Mo's so I'll probably end up out there tomorrow with Jayson since it's 21 and up. They're playing CONTROL

Plans are in motion. I'll be moving to Muncie this summer (prior to Pitchfork) with Faloon, Jason, Tabor, Lucas and Richard Gumby.

Sweet sweet soundz will follow.

Then either a move to Boston or back to Athens.

Allison and I went down to Muncie this past weekend so I could check out the house and so we could party. All of the guys plus myself and Allison got wasted at the house. Pedro and Jenn showed up. Smoked us out. And then we went bowling... which if I wasn't so drunk, would have vehemently refused to do.

Once we got back to the house we watched The Birds.

Someone showed up at the house right before we left to bowl and I could of swore he was British... when we got back to the house he was in the kitchen with Jason and Tabor sipping expensive beer out of a glass and listening to classical music. So then I -really- thought he was British. Needless to say... our drunken behaivor did not please him.

Work... work is work. I'm in the ''Health'' biz again. Only this time I work with old christian hippies one of whom is a black girl with a fro who listens to The Fugees all day. Pretty sweet deal if you ask me.

I'm trying to get a job at Family Video... because that would just be the missing puzzle piece to complete my perfect life.

So I've reached the pinnacle of my ''age priviledges''. I guess all I have to look forward to is arriving at the age where I'm old enough to retire from whatever shitty job I become trapped into.

I thought being twenty-one would feel awkward and overwhelming, but really the only thing that's changed is... I don't have to feel hassled to join my friends at a bar or to order a beer when I'm in a resteraunt. Then again, if you forget your I.D. like Mike did last night you're fucked either way.

Indianapolis was a no go... it just so happens, people realized I existed and that I was awesome and started hanging out with me.

But that's not to say, I won't just up and move there any second now. I am a very indecisive person after all.

Matt comes into town tomorrow from Boston. He has become somewhat shunned from our very tight-nit group of friends, but I, at times have been in the same position. So I sympathize with him... probably much to the dissapointment of my other friends.

I think I should have stayed in Athens and been poor and happy than to move back here to save up a shit ton of money and wake up to shitty weather and unnecessary drama.

But buying my pitchfork tickets online today brought a smile to my face. 3 and a half months. Bring it.
