Have you heard about that one court case, the one that can never be overturned?

ROE V. WADE ?

well maybe those people that told you it was irreversible, set in stone ... were wrong.

In light of the recent confirmations of Roberts and Alito, a Democratic, female senator from South Dakota, has proposed a bill that bans all abotions except to save the mother's life. It has passed both houses and is in conference committeee. The Governor plans to sign it.

Planned Parenthood has sworn to fight it, which means that this case will quite probably come before THE SUPREME COURT!

... now if only Stevens would retire ... or die.

Pray with me about this one. I really feel that the tide is turning against this inhumane practice.

hello

i am updating again! why you ask? because i am procrastinating. school is really not fun.

for the last 3 weeks i have not gone to school on thursedays or fridays, but this week i have to. in fact, i have nothing exciting planned at all! it is moderately depressing.

lake country won the nerd bowl on monday!! yay for us!

do you like my new xanga colors? i think they are beautiful!

for those of you who are wondering where i am going to school next year, i have absolutely no idea. well i have some idea. It will be one of the 10 places i applied! we will see where i get in and where the money is.

now i should probably do some of that make up work. :groan: im so depressed

Hello!

i am back from oklahomo. no that is not misspelled.

did you know that people in oklahomo hate Texas?? because I had no idea.

on the first night someone told us, "go back to mexico Texas." yeah not even kidding.

the next morning an actual oklahomo state senator stood at the podium and said, "I hate the state of Texas"

All day Texas was mentioned in almost every bill. they hate us but their world apparently revolves around us.

i must admit that i really have never felt such a consistent and concentrated hatred as i did at their conference.

however, i had soo much fun with the Texas people! seriously i love those kids. i miss everyone! i miss wanda the short bus!!!!!

Texas Youth & Government is ... over.

dang it.

It was the best year ever. I was longing to be in the senate the whole time, but the candidates were cool and in the end i got to lobby for a bill I wrote in the Senate. It ended up tying and the presiding officer broke the tie and it passed!!! i was so excited. also, it caused a walk-out in the senate. it was amazing. I am so proud.

I hung out with some really cool people this year too. It is good to get out of the little Lake Country circle every now and then. : )

school is a stressful way to waste my time in between fun things.

now i get to go to the Oklahoma conference!!!

on thurseday!

i am soooooooooooo excited. if it werent for this i would be so depressed right now!

hi!

i just got back from austin. it was really fun.

we got to climb all the way to the top of the capitol and go outside. It was awesome!

dewhurst and perry are dork-faces. i want to let you all know that i did my best to get one of them to come to Y&G. Mr. Dewhurst, however, will be too busy riding horses .... when i am a politician i will make it a point to go to as many youth functios as i possibly can.

i met super cool people !

I get to go to Washing ton DC for free and .... i might ..... o pleaseGod! .... get to meet George W. Bush and any asortment of senators. I couldnt possibly be more excited.

Also, i am that much closer to paying for college. It is all a blessing from God. He is amazing.

o! i also discovered the capitol gift shop! it is wonderful!!!!! i bought a sparkly texas pin. : )

YOUTH & GOVT is this weekend!!

Oklahoma Y&G is the next!
