| | bLAST fROM tHE pASTIt was so great to have Nato come for a visit. The lord definitely put many things into perspective with him here. And the fact that we, including many of our CCBC friends, are being all that we can be...in the army of the Lord. This is not cheesey at all. There is a war man. There has been at least two cases of demonic activity and exorcism in our church just this weekend! I am digging in, manning the watchtowers, building up machine gun nests, locking, loading, and getting ready for a fight. We must be on the alert!!! Long live trench warfare.
THE WEAPONS OF OUR WARFARE ARE THESE:
The sWORD of SPIRIT of God, double-edged, rightly dividing, ie. the Bible
The shield of FAITH
The belt of TRUTH
The breastplate of RIGHTEOUSNESS
The shodden feet of READINESS that comes from the GOSPEL OF PEACE
The helmet of SALVATION
Other Jedi powers Christians can weild:
FASTING: bringing ourselves low, willful humility, depriving the body to focus on the SPIRIT
INTERCESSION: throwing ourselves in the gap spiritually for someone else, praying on behalf of them
PRAYER: cummunicating to God, alligning to His will, seeking Him
WORSHIP/SACRIFICE/OBEDIENCE/THANKSGIVING: let these be our actions of faith, our good works, giving/ascribing to God His due credit, acknowledging His Kingship, glorifying His majesty with our lives and song/art--our petty crayon drawings to our Father
just some thoughts...if we aren't doing these things or wanting to do these things--willing--why would we expect God to move in our lives or churches??? I AM CONVICTED.
