  • Author, Larry Johns

Larry Johns, Author of The Island Gang series has a new following amongst high school students. Initially it was limited to Gig Harbor High, due to the fact that Raft Island, bridge jumping, Dead Man's, Henderson Bay, the Narrows, and Gig Harbor are all familiar to GHHS students, but the following has grown all the way to the east coast.  Students from Boston Arts Academy and Lexington High (Boston), Gateway Senior High (Pittsburgh) are learning about the meaning of life through Legend of Crystal Cove. Students from Provo UT, Nashville TN, Charlotte NC, Colorado Springs CO have all joined the following.  He's picked up readers in Australia, Africa, and Great Brittain.

The way Mr. Grisham works with these kids confirms the challenges that exist in parent child communication particularly through the teen years.  The generation gap is real!

And then there's the exchange between Grisham and Meg in Legend of the Masks that will have you looking at people differently. When he least expected it Grisham found himself drawn toward a lost soul. Following his intuition he made a connection that literally saved a life. Harley, Bipin, Tsauri, Tsuri, Liho Ali'i, Kimokeo, YanYan, Matsqui, are names and places you will learn to love and hate as you get into Legend of the Masks.

If you haven't checked this series out, you need to visit www.theislandgang.com.  Read the reviews ... and get the books.  They will keep you fully intertained, and change the way you look at life.
