Random thoughts and happenings...

Spring is here which means major overtime for me.  The money is great, and so is the workout, but that means I have less time to spend with my wife.  Boo!!!

I've been hooked on the Office.  I used to hate it because the humor was so awkward but now I love it.

I love how the Indiana House of Reps and Senate can find time to come up with a way to congratulate the Colts for winning the Super Bowl but they can't find time to work on the tax problems of the state.

I'm getting glasses at the end of the week.  I'm supposedly near-sighted in my left eye and the doctor says I can't pass a physical for work until I get glasses.  Getting old sucks.

My car leaks rain water but I can't find where it is getting in.  Last week when we got 2 inches of rain, I had standing water on my floor.  Anybody know where I can get a good used car?

I still need to do our taxes.  I've never done them before, nor do I want to learn how.

So, once again, I officially hate snow.  I think if I ever visit a psychic, they will tell me snow will be a result of my death.  It turns out that even though I hate snow with a passion, it still pays very well.  Monday I had off in anticipation of the fluffy white stuff coming.  Tuesday I got the phone call at 1:45 am to be at work by 3 am.  I finally got to clock out at 9 pm that night and go see my wife.  The problem is I had to be back at work at 3 am again.  This time I didn't get to come home until 12:30 am.  Meaning another 21 1/2 hours for about 10 inches of snow.  Thursday required me to be at work from 11 am 4 pm and Friday from 10 am to 3 pm.  That's another 10 hours.  Then Saturday was another doozy with 4 more inches of snow and work from 7 am to 8 pm.  That meant another 13 hours of work.  Total hours this week... 62 1/2 hours.  As Miguel, my shovel buddy would say, "Mucho overtime, mucho dinero."  And I say, "Me mucho tired."
