Want to be my roommate?

Sadly, my current roommate is going to law school in Fall. Anyone interested in moving in?

The apartment is a converted 1-Bedroom apartment facing east on the 16th floor of the River Place apartment complex on 42nd Street, between 11th Avenue and the West Side Highway. The available bedroom is 13' X 11' 4", and has its own closet space and A/C-Heating unit. See the attached floorplan and pictures for a better sense of the space. The building has a 24-hr doorman, same-floor laundry, 2 elevator bays, and its own full gym facility (membership cost separate). There's also a dry cleaners, restaurant, and convenience store on the bottom floor of the complex. Check out www.riverplacenyc.com for more information on the building.

The total rent for the apartment is $2860 per month + $100-$120 per month for utilities and internet/cable. The apartment is 3-4 avenues from Port Authority and Times Square, and the M42 bus stop is right outside the building. There is also a free morning shuttle bus on weekdays that drops passengers off all along 42nd Street from Port Authority to 2nd Avenue, and it runs every 20 minutes.

Is Newer Always Necessarily Better?

So I've noticed that on many new laptops (including my own), the audio-out and microphone jacks are on the front of the laptop, near the bottom of the touchpad/mouse. While this might be handy if you were going to plug in some headphones or a headset microphone, it's not convenient for plugging in table-top speakers, 'cuz the cord has to run from the front of your computer to where your speakers (and bass/woofer potentially) are located-- which is likely behind your laptop or near your screen.

So is the new audio jack locations improvements over the past (when they were on the back of your laptop, behind the screen)?.

Hello, how may I help you today?

After dealing with Walmart Customer Service for the past week, I have had a change of heart:

GO AHEAD AND OUTSOURCE THESE PHONE OPERATOR JOBS; PEOPLE IN OTHER COUNTRIES DO IT A LOT BETTER.

Things that should be created (if they haven't been already)

[This is a working list...]

#1 Just like SNL compiled DVDs of the "Best of Adam Sandler" and the "Best of Chris Farley" etc. etc...SNL should come out with a the "Best of Weekend Update" DVD Set (which means that all skits with Colin Quinn as the host are automatically excluded from the collection). Bring back Kevin Neelin, Norm MacDonald, Jimmy Fallon, and Tina Fey.

#2 The Food Network Restaurant. If ESPN Zone, Rainforest Cafe, and Planet Hollywood can work, then so can this themed restaurant.

#3 Glow in the dark golf balls and pins...Just think: Super SUPER Twilight Hour green fees. Enough said.

#4 Seats or a Bench for people standing in line for hours at amusement parks. Or perhaps pants that have a built-in seat mechanism. This revelation came to me after 12 hours at Magic Mountain recently.

#5 BarPages.com. There's MenuPages.com in NYC, but no similar entity to rank/locate bars in the city. This would be very help to find out specials and events, as well as figure out where they'll shaft you for drinks.
