| happy new year, everybodyWow, an incredibly long time since my last post. I guess I just have this poem I just kinda threw out in the last few minutes. Inspired a little by Blackalicious, an amazing hip-hop group with quick rhymes. So this is just some freeflowing stuff. Eh, enjoy if you wish.
Fears In new years That might surface With no purpose But end That tear and rend A vicious blend I’m seeking to fight Late in this night With victomless might I’ll try to write
Against those leaders Ignoring the bleeders Losing limbs and other parts Maybe most of all hearts Can I see you cry Without celebs in your eye? I try to fly beyond it, But I get hit In the pit of my stomach Dark and black Take me back To where I was Looking on war I dropped my jaw At what I saw The children dead The parents bled Wounds I read In newspapers and nets On trains and jets
But I just did nothing While they cried and died I think I’m running From the monster come munching The grass and trees He don’t notice the pleas Masses on their knees Just more of the same To put up buildings in some name Does Dubya get the blame Or a dedicated building for his crimes Cause presidents so deserve No matter how they serve In these trying times I’m sick of these rhymes And their associated subjects I wish they were rejects Instead of the headlines Pumped out for deadlines That take in the cash Like Iraq Overbearing like Shaq A slowdown for us We took the wrong bus I guess I better get off and start walking Cause I’m sure tired of talking.

| friends make teh differenceMy last night at home was possibly my favorite of my whole break. The reason for that of course was that I gathered with a few of my favorite friends and we just played a boardgame for a few hours. It was so much fun and I just want to thank Philip, Danielle, Danny, and Sabrina for being so awesome. It was great to just hang out and laugh and be with friends. And of course, watch some hilarious youtube videos (see links below).
And now I'm back ("home") in Boston. I got back and got to spend some wonderful time with Emily. Then on the bus back into town I saw various graffiti. They've yet to take down some of my favorites (which is nice), though I also spotted some new ones (VESPA and JAZE) and SPACE has gotten better. Anyway, it's cool to be back, and I like to see my friends here again. So weird having 2 worlds that are so distinct.

So finally, since I'm not really in a big writing mood, I'm going to post a few of my favorite poems I wrote over the summer.
7-3-07 We swam together I was in a movie Feeling alive in the stereotype. The water blue and green Your smile grown so ripe. I could've sunk to the bottom But I'd lost Breathing was short Energy expended running Buying ice cream I hope I don't lose this day Or the cool lake water.
7-25-07 This fear is tightened coiled within me. While I await the vengeance of nature and god I stand to watch his angels soar overhead. Not ready to interfere, But waiting to pluck my soul away from here What happened When did I shrink from fear? Have the rolling water's reflections burned at me from too many angles? The sun's rays beat upon me. But the water is murky. And more than anything I'd call for clarity. Instead Haze Maximizing distance. If I ran, I would still be no closer to you. Though the forests would be strong and dark. People return home as I become more comfortable here I cannot be on edge constantly. Blot out the sun for me. It extends upward from the radio tower. A god of unlimited power.
8-4-07 A patio bar, tired, 10pm
Through the glass tank Towers Rhythms and beats deep Powers Lights changing dimming into red Hours Sky is a ceiling lightening Flowers Slowly time changes sensations sweetening Sours Behind this glass, safe, he Cowers Watching, observing, in the background Towers
8-7-07
Genuine twisting Genuflect Rattled bones my home Makes it all worthwhile Tired In corners leftovers Tendency to release losses late Sad Fact of life Watch hollow solutions. Like before People slipping in puddles.

| more work haiku... and I'm done with 360!
6-21-07 blue outside not black ferns grow down over this place softening the bricks
6-22-07 bright again today as clouds follow the lightning rain wanders above
6-25-07 floors wooden and still moving quick past darting eyes fans turning above
6-26-07 creative and proud knee jerk reactions to fear cautious and hopeful
6-27 running out the door quicktime for the leaves to leave gonna be hot out
6-29-07 elated senses ready for the end to come sleep under the glow
| So I haven't posted jack on here in too long. Let's see. Not a whole lotta news besides the big news of my sister getting married. Other than that I go back to California in a little over 2 weeks for the rest of the summer. I'm happy and sad about that. But the break from my computer and lots of work in general should be nice. I'm planning for lots of bike riding and library time. Mmm.
Anyway, so I was writing some random haikus at work over the last week or so (to take mental breaks from menial stuff). Here we go...
6-7-07 new day at work starts not sure where the sky is now fish swim beside me
6-11-07 close to a new glow equivalent to the moon glory to the light
6-12-07 morning hesitates continual awaking sounds slowly starting
6-12-07 full existence here doubting the beams overhead hope for simple life
6-20-07 rainy warm day always new questions arise from steamy pavement
