  • Oh by the way...

Just in case you were wondering, I'm back.

It is very possible that I will totally get rid of this site.  It's pretty much the most useless thing in the world other than for keeping in contact with some friends who use it to keep in contact with some friends.  But now I have other friends, and some friends who became better friends, and some friends who became less of friends, and some friends who are not friends, and some friends who need friends, and some friends who have new ways of contacting their friends, and some friends who need to find something better to do than to read dumb posts from their friends...

Anyway, not much is happening here.  I'm thinking about starting a project.  More details to come.  It's actually something i've decided I want to do, but need the time to do it.

    Goodbye friends, yours truly,

    -Josh

Oh and by the way, to those who don't know, I'm going to be putting any pictures I take online...

  • Mexico 1 2 and 3

     Hey guys, it's me again!

I'm still in Mexico, but I will give you some updates...

Week one was pretty cool.  There were some cool people to hang out with, and God really began to meet me.  I got there, looked around at who was there, and was kinda dissappointed because I didn't really know anyone, and I wanted to hang out with the folks I had hung out with in years past.  After talking to Chad about some totally different things, I began to ask myself the question, "What does God want me to do in Mexico?"  I realized soon afterwards that I wanted my goal for the trip to be to learn new things about God and grow closer to Him.

The week went on, and I was having a good time.  One of the things I was so grateful for was the distinct lack of bad migraines all week long.  This was such a gift from God.  There are lots of memories, but it's late and I'm not gonna bother thinking of them all again right now.  I'm just waiting for someone to get home so I can let him in before I go to bed...

    Week 2...

A lot cooler people.  The week started so much better than the first.  Monday was when I had my first bad migraine, but it was soon gone and I was able to go out and get ice cream with the kids.  The people on the trip were really cool.  Throughout the week, I tended to hang out with Troy, Chad, Corinne, Kendell, and Roma the most.  These guys were all so cool.  We had lots of memories and fun times.  I'll get those all up on a blog when I get home.  I'm going to start a new blog with all the pictures I'm taking.  I'll try to bring back memories then...

    Week 3...

This week.  I miss my friends, and my home, and especially church, but this is certainly a different side of Mexico.  For anyone who has been on the Missions Trips before, you remember all the cockroaches in Mexico?  This is similar, only instead of cockroaches, we have crabs.  Everywhere!  They're inside, outside, running up and down the halls.  It's crazy.  We're right on the beach, and we have our own personal pool along with a big pool that is always empty.  This resort is on the side of a mountain right on the beach, and the view is absolutely amazing!  I got some beautiful pictures of the sunset yesterday.  Today my dad, brother, cousin, and I went ATVing through the jungle.  It was really cool and fun.  When we got to the top of the mountain, we stopped at a bar-type place where they gave us tiny samples of Tequilas.  They were pretty good.  We then went up another trail on the mountain and ended up at a river where we could jump off the rocks above into the water below.  It was so cool.

We got back to the resort, did a photoshoot with my Grandma, and then went back into town for a walk on the boardwalk.  It was kinda cool.  There were these four guys who were hanging from a huge flagpole-type-thing by their feet, spinning in circles, while playing instruments.  That was really entertaining to watch.  Plus there were the sporadic fireworks being shot off from boats in the ocean.  My dad and I bought some cigars which we're going to smoke with my uncle tomorrow night.

Anyway, I can't wait to show you all pictures, it is really beautiful here.

Oh yeah, and an answer to prayer... at the beginning of my travels, I prayed for God to reveal new things about Himself to me, and bring me home stronger in Him.  Starting at the beginning of week 2, God has begun to reveal different things to me.  I haven't quite figured it all out yet, but He has been showing me what the fear of the LORD is, and how that actually affects my life.  And it's deeper than that, but I need to keep praying about it.  So far it has been amazing.

Anyway, I'm gonna go now... I don't know where my cousin is, but he's gonna get locked out because I want to go to bed.

    -------

Just to add to the mahem... we had some good times in Mexico listening to Chuck Norris jokes...

Chuck Norris once roundhouse kicked someone so hard that his foot broke the speed of light, went back in time, and killed Amelia Earhart while she was flying over the Pacific Ocean.

  • Crop circles are Chuck Norris' way of telling the world that sometimes corn needs to lie down.
  • Chuck Norris is ten feet tall, weighs two-tons, breathes fire, and could eat a hammer and take a shotgun blast standing.
  • The Great Wall of China was originally created to keep Chuck Norris out. It failed miserably.
  • Chuck Norris doesn't churn butter. He roundhouse kicks the cows and the butter comes straight out.
  • Fool me once, shame on you. Fool Chuck Norris once and he will roundhouse you in the face.
  • Chuck Norris once shot down a German fighter plane with his finger, by yelling, "Bang!"
  • In an average living room there are 1,242 objects Chuck Norris could use to kill you, including the room itself.
  • When taking the SAT, write "Chuck Norris" for every answer. You will score over 8000.

  • Chuck Norris invented black. In fact, he invented the entire spectrum of visible light. Except pink. Tom Cruise invented pink.
  • It takes Chuck Norris 20 minutes to watch 60 Minutes.
  • There are no weapons of mass destruction in Iraq, Chuck Norris lives in Oklahoma.
  • Chuck Norris once ate an entire bottle of sleeping pills. They made him blink.
  • Superman once watched an episode of Walker, Texas Ranger. He then cried himself to sleep.
  • And then there's Jack Bauer...

Most people would need months to recover from 20 months of Chinese interrogation. Jack Bauer needs a shower, a shave and a change of clothes.

Some people see the glass as half full. Others see it as half empty. Jack Bauer see the glass as a deadly weapon.

On Jack Bauer's Tax Returns, he has to claim the entire world as his dependents.

If everyone on "24" followed Jack Bauer's instructions, it would be called "12".

If Jack Bauer was president, he would protect the secret service.

Jack Bauer quit for just five minutes, and a nuclear bomb went off.

1.6 billion Chinese are angry with Jack Bauer. Sounds like a fair fight.

    Superman wears Jack Bauer pajamas.

After Season 6 of 24, the Chinese will be on the Endangered Species List.

Only Jack Bauer can fly a plane from the luggage compartment.

Superman's only weakness is Kryptonite. Jack Bauer laughs at Superman for having a weakness.

When someone asks him how his day is going, Jack replies, "Previously, on 24..."

yeah... anyway... there's my cousin.  I'm gonna go to bed now.  Good night...

  • Work...

     So this is my job...

    200253081-001

well...sorta...actually, not at all. But I am responsible to lock up the church and make sure it's secure...

The other day, I was working with Brandon.  We had just finished cleaning up after Alpha, and began to lock up the building.  We went outside for an exterior door check and to make sure there was no one on the property...

    73867545

After getting almost the entire thing done, we went back inside...

    73532297

    where we checked our email...

    Gmail

and clocked out.  As we began to head out the front door, we stopped and armed the security alarm.  We then continued outside.  At this moment I remembered...

    73979643

...that I hadn't finished the door check.  So I quickly checked the last doors.  When I got to the South Lobby doors a few moments later, I was assuming that the door would be locked...

    CA31591

...but alas, and alack, it wasn't...

    200319359-001

...and the security alarm that I had already armed didn't really like it when I pulled open the door...

    E003602

...so I set off the alarm at church... and then began to panic...

    72890629

    and panic

    200376619-002

    and panic

    200514504-001

    and...panic...

    200516411-001

I went back inside, and I had to call Howard (they call him when the alarm is set off, and ask him if they should send the cops). I wanted to call him before the security company did so that when they did call him, he would know what was going on...  what I didn't know was that Howard was on vacation...

    200496495-001

And I woke him up in the middle of the night...

    200392713-001

He took care of it all from there.

So, anyway, that's my recent adventure from work... tune in next time for: The Time Josh Burned Down the Building

  • The Fear of the Lord

I can't help but think of some of my friends when i hear this song... (listen to it first before you jump to conclusions, it's not the real version, it's a parody)

The faculties of imagination and sense-perception are not essential parts of me.

    hahaha...

yeah, so I took a break yesterday from my usual reading and spent the day meditating on the fear of the Lord.  I read Nahum 1:2-6 and immediately was filled with fear of who God is.

"The Lord is a jealous and avenging God; the Lord is avenging and wrathful; the Lord takes vengeance on his adversaries and keeps wrath for his enemies. The Lord is slow to anger and great in power, and the Lord will by no means clear the guilty. His way is in whirlwind and storm, and the clouds are the dust of his feet. The mountains quake before him; the hills melt; the earth heaves before him, the world and all who dwell in it. Who can stand before his indignation? Who can endure the heat of his anger? His wrath is poured out like fire, and the rocks are broken into pieces by him." - Nahum 1:2-6

I then went and wrote about it. (Writing anything about it helps me think about it in detail)

The splendors of a glorious King
    It makes the mountains shake
    It makes the forests sing
His great desire - to see the world made pure
His wrath and anger is the only cure
He will not let the guilty go free
His vengeful wrath the world will see
At His name the mountains will quake,
Creation hides, and the wicked shake
    None can escape
    None can endure
    His wrath poured on them
Their own sin has made sure
Their lack of fear has brought them death
Their cry for mercy is their final breath
    In his patience they tested
    In their sin they invested
Their cry for mercy has come too late
The wrath of God will no longer wait
The day will come when the world will see
The wrath of God - you cannot flee
Yet there they sit, and wait around
His wrath will thunder with a glorious sound
The things of this world will dissipate
The wicked sinners will meet their fate
Those who fear Him will find pleasures anew
Those who despise Him will see Him as true
But the time will be too late, you see
When His wrath is poured out, not one soul can flee

    -Josh Tucker, May 8, 2007

yeah, so anyway, that's what I did yesterday... some of the other things I've written are on my blog thingy.  The address is at the top of this page or right here.

Other than that, I haven't been up to much recently.  I'm just kinda workin a full time job and going to school full time.  When I'm not doing either of those two, I can be found at Starbucks reading, at home, or out hanging with friends.

And just for your entertainment, I'm gonna go find something funny to put here...

"Behind every successful man is a surprised woman."

"Son, if you really want something in this life, you have to work for it. Now quiet! They're about to announce the lottery numbers." - Homer Simpson

Oh, wait!  Little Becky!  If you haven't already heard these, go there now and listen to them!

    Little Becky Page 1

    Little Becky Page 2

Little Becky is a young Irish girl who prank calls companies, records the conversations, and then sends them in to a radio station.  They are good!

    Anyway... I'm gonna go read...

    Hey bro!
  • PoorPritchard
Sorry Josh, but I know it wasn't sixth grade, because by that point I wasn't allowed to hang out with you :-D So it was sometime in between then, and I have no idea when, and it really doesn't matter.
