| Hmm, soooo. It's been awhile, as Emily so astutely observed. Well, I don't have much to say except that my Mexico trip was AWESOME, which I went on with my church the week before Easter. The entire week was incredible, I have hardly any complaints (which is amazing because I am a very particular person =]) at all, except that my spectacular (farmer's) tan is starting to fade.
Then we got back Saturday night at about 6:45, and things started sucking at 7:30. Talk about coming of a figurative mountain high. Anyway, life has pretty much consisted of unusually, extrodinarily biting suckiness interrupted with the occasional very delightful conversation with friends. One good thing about being back is that I have had several loooong aim convos with Cole, who is currently studying in Warsaw (that's Poland). We have caught up on our lives and discussed the various people in our lives who we once considered friends but would now reconsider, considering the sizable daggers in our backs. We decided that we are going to promptly remove the knives and use them to cut of the heads of certain female homosapiens. Oh, and we've once again come to the conclusion that all girls are stupidly evil to one degree or another. Don't worry, most of you who read this are only evil to the tiniest nth degree, with the exception of you. You know who you are. *glares at you* But the rest of you are ever so pleasant, and if you have any doubt as to whether I'm referring to you, don't. I like you.
Oh yeah, and guys are dumb, especially when it comes to the evilness of girls. As one of my female friends said to me today "Yes, guys always say what they mean. Girls don't. Ever. Not to guys, not to girls, they really are evil like that."
Anyway, enough of my bitter diatribes. Rest assured that I will someday recover from my emotional scarring and perchance even forget, much less forgive, those who have hurt me.
Oh, we had Fernando Napoles, one of the missionaries we support, come and preach today and share what is happening in Mexico City. He showed a video much like those we do for our Mexicali trips, and I'm ready to go. Seriously. I'll just forget the last 3 weeks of classes and finals and go tomorrow. Want to come? Let's go!
Until later, Nick | | |
| Okay, I know it's been an eternity since I've posted anything on here. Last time I did was during finals, and now I'm in week two of spring semester. Right now I should be brushing up on my international business vocab for Global Marketing Management, but instead I'm here in the lib, passing time until class starts at 7:00. Ugh. 7:00-9:40. This is NOT going to be pleasant, even if Buckles is a cool prof, although I'll probably duck out a little early to go to an RA info meeting at 9:00 in Sutherland for next year. We'll see...
*sighs* A lot has changed since I last updated this page: Friendships, responsibilities, classes (i.e; they're not the classes/classloads from hell this semester. A lot of reading though. A LOT...), etc. I'm still living in the same dormroom, same school, but for some reason it really feels different this semester than all my previous semesters here. Maybe it's because I have a more positive outlook on my classes, or maybe it's because I pulled out an A in Accounting II last semester after having to retake it. Maybe time is having an effect on me. Who knows, but I hope that it's not just a whim. I hope this semester really will be great.
Anyway, gotta jet to class, will continue this later.
| I'm off to take my last final!!! | | |
| okay, i figured i had to put something here even if it wasn't a blog, since it's been more than a month. i stole this quiz from emily again (and again, i got the same results. kinda creepy...lol)
| You scored as Maximus. After his family was murdered by the evil emperor Commodus, the great Roman general Maximus went into hiding to avoid Commodus's assassins. He became a gladiator, hoping to dominate the colosseum in order to one day get the chance of killing Commodus. Maximus is valiant, courageous, and dedicated. He wants nothing more than the chance to avenge his family, but his temper often gets the better of him.

| Wow, it's been a really long time since I've written much here. Life has been quite hectic, but this weekend is Torrey Conference, which hopefully will give me a chance to catch up.
In other news, I just bought Wreck of the Day by Anna Nalick, and it's awesome (in case you've forgotten, I'm quite the fan =]). I think I'm going to be listening to it quite a bit this weekend while doing research. Research. Fun.
Well, I thought I had time to sit down and write something significant, but I started this twenty minutes ago and have distracted myself at least 4 times, and now I'm out of time. I'm going to the home game against Azusa Pacific tonight for women's volleyball at 7:00, and I have to stop by the bookstore first and then meet Joelle and my mom at the caf for dinner in time to get good seats for the game. Peace out peoplez.
