New Client or New Job?

Well, that bad client I told you about a few weeks ago (the one I had to constantly fight with to get paid) is finally gone. They beat me out of $2800. Thankfully I got most of the money they owed me before they went south for the winter.

But now, I have to find a new client. I don't know. Maybe I've been in the software business too long. Maybe I should just get a Commercial Driver's License and drive a shuttle for one of the local airports. A nice, no brainer job. The only qualification is that I be able to go from Parking Lot A to Parking Lot B to the terminal and back to Parking Lot A. Hummm. No responsibility. No need to fight to get ahead. No need to take the blame when someone else doesn't perform. Sounds better all the time.

Can you afford to live like that? If you can, then go ahead and take the job. It wouldn't be unpleasant. If you like driving then you should even enjoy it. I am sorry you lost money from the last job you did. I wish I had money. I am a pathetically poor college student. So go ahead and do what you think is best. Just make sure it is a job you would want to do before you start. Otherwise you may regret it.

RYC: Someone can still lie out of ignorance. I think it is the most appropriate word in fact. It the interpretation of Scripture is not the way God intended it to be then it is a lie and is evil in nature. My life has already been a constant study of the Scriptures. I have been studying the Bible since I was 5 years old. I have had many classes taught on it and I have been to many church groups on it. I have read many books on the Bible as well. I have read through the Bible several times in at least 2 different translations as well. I have done many word studies to find out what the original word in that passage meant as well. I have been seeing things in Scripture that I cannot account for for years. I just ignored it before. Now I am being honest with myself. There are many obviously contradictory portions of the Bible. The explanations for those contradictions are insufficient as well. There are several words in Hebrew that can be translated as kill but many of those words can mean something totally different. The Hebrew language is so ridiculously amibigious that I don't know how anyone can speak it. If translated differently the Old Testament could be almost completely different from what it looks like right now. I have seen some prime examples of this as well. I cannot resolve those hosts of apparent contradictions. I am unable because I don't think the explanations I have heard are any good. they sound so contrived and foolish. I am only 18 and I know I have much to learn. I am up to putting the necessary time to understand the Word of God, but at the same time I don't want to be presumptiuos. The Bible should not take that much time to understand it. Many people cannot cevote thier whole life to its interpretation. It just isn't practical. Will God give someone a false interpretation just becuase the person isn't a pastor or some other sort of scholar?
