| | Sniper Gate aka Hillary The LiarYou would think that everyone by now would know that the internet has completely remade the world, and you can't lie today about something that happened 10 years ago and expect no one to notice. I refer, of course, to Billary's comments yesterday about coming under fire from snipers during a visit to Bosnia and then having to duck and run for cover, an event which she somehow wanted to present as proof of her experience to lead a nation.
News coverage available on the internet clearly proves that this event did not happen. Then when confronted with this fact, she tried to duck reponsibility for lying about it saying first that she misspoke. (Damn it woman, a lie is a lie. Don't try to white wash it.) That failing, she then said that she simply didn't remember the actual event as well as she so clearly would have had us believe she did the day before. She claims that it only proves that she's human. (So is President Bush.)
Folks, I suggest to you that when you are shot at and have to scurry for cover, it is an event that you clearly remember and will carry with you for life. You don't forget it.
Oh yes, when asked why she and her daughter were there in a hostile fire zone in Bosnia to begin with, she said -- are you ready -- she said she was there because it was deemed to be a situation too dangerous for the President to be placed it. Gosh folks. Am I missing something here? If it was too dangerous for the President, why would he send his daughter there? Why would she allow her daughter to be there? Hello! That doesn't make any more sense than her forgetting if she was shot at or not.
And will someone please tell me how getting shot at makes a person qualified to be President. That kind of logic would qualify Jesse James for the job.
All of this is too much for her campaign people to handle, I guess, because today they are trying to reopen the Rev. Wright nonsense from last week to distract people and shift focus away from Billary back to Barack Obama. That much is a reasonable response to yet another embarrassing comment. I doubt that it will be successful, though, because the press will have to cooperate in her favor, and I believe they are now sick of the Clintons. |
