Though it’s easy on the eyes

I’ll eventually go blind

When I can’t tell you wrong from right

When I can’t tell you dark from light

I shouldn’t have tasted that

Though it’s candied and it’s sweet

There’s a switchblade underneath

And I can feel it draining me

Till there’s no more blood to bleed

I shouldn’t have loved that

Though I thought I’d feel free

I’ve got shackles on my feet

And they’ve gone and lost the key

Likely as they’ll do to me

You can salvage me
