when was the last time something took your breath away?  was it good or bad?  happiness or saddness?  tell me.  I want to know.  I heard something said once, "life is not measured by how many breaths we take but by how many times something takes our breath."  I like that quote.  tell me a good story.  I love to read

Well...once upon a time, I met this crazy guy on this traveling choir called New Way Singers.  I had seen him on the occaision before....but, never quite this close up.  At first I was a little confused by the crazy language he spoke in, and the downright goofyness that encircled all he did. I found out through time that he liked baseball, singing, massages, his Bible..and oh wait...of course, food.  He was especially fond of a food known as bacon, somethign I hadn't encountered to much before.  But...as time went on, I got used to the crazyness, learned to deal with the mass amounts of bacon and I came to realize he was just a goofy, awesome guy that walked with God, and he has been my friend ever since!  The end! :)

So there was this secret singer gift exchane thing. I distincly remember You wearing goggles and granny underwear...yep, I have a picture too! You better be nice to me or else I'll use it against you! ;) Then the Pony Express, you 'cooked' bread rather than baking it. We played at Munchkin Land, I almost got hit by a frisbee. You hit up all the Six Flag rides that weren't shut down from the rain. A bunch of us went to Christians to enjoy the hot tub..so mostly the memories from that involve funny sayings from the girls, but you were there. Blue Flame...an irreplaceable memory. Oh yea, haha, and the time I came to visit at like 1:30 in the morning. I owe you and Joe for driving with me back to Lincoln! Goodness...$2, need I say more.

You are loved by many. I know you know that, but don't forget it when you feel sad. "Smile and Nodd" -Famous words of wisdom. :) Love you buddy

a lot of times when i go in to see andrew at work -
(as i am doing right now) -
and i'm sitting at the counter or at a table -
i'll look up and see him -
he gives me that smile of his -
the breath leaves my lungs -
i beam back at him in return.

and often times when we go on walks or just hanging out -
he'll take my hand and pull me close and tell me something sweet -
this often has the same effect on me.

i know life isn't always that romatic -
and it's not even about the romance.
we just like to make each other smile as much as possible.
good advice for anyone - single or not.

Tonight was the night.  I saw the most beautiful sun set I have seen in a long time. God takes my breath away in many ways; the innocence of small children; the cmplexity of the people He created; yes, I'll be honest not much takes away my breath like a stunningly beautiful woman walking through the door when you least expect it.(which by the way God dreamed her up)  But tonight it was nature that left me speechless for a time.  I am always amazed at how God pursues my heart.  I gazed upon that which God created and something felt right in my heart.  Contentment swooped int omy heart and the power God's messege reminded me that I am His and He wants to do Great things.  To steal the words from one who wrote them before me....  tonight my heart could only gather these words... Here I am.  Send me.

A Man after Your heart,  david roy
