Look at your relationship with Christ like you would any other relationship. Think about how much more you talk to your good friends rather than ones that you hardly ever see. Why do you talk with them more? Because you have stories of good times and mutual friends and basic similar interests.

For example: remember that time we went to...., or remember when we did this or that.

Think about walking with Jesus right now, this very second. How much would you have to talk about?

Would you have a lot of things to talk about? a lot of old memories.     

or would there be a lot of - 

Hey, Jesus remember the time when.....? and Jesus would have to say, "Sorry, you didn't ask me to come with you." or "Sorry, didn't want me there."
