So I've been thinking a lot about beauty lately. I think that it's amazing how that whole idea has changed over the past 100 years. Beauty is such an important part of who we are as humans, but most of all, it defines the sole desire of the heart of a woman which in turn is a desire of Chirst's heart, as well. So many times this culture gets it wrong. Since when did beauty become all about weight? I truly admire the women of today's culture who can be proud of their bodies and who they are as people even though they might not be a size 0-6. Even I have found myself feeling irritated and disgusted with myself when I put on a few pounds that probably no one else even notices. I look in the mirror and see what I once was and see potential to what I can someday be again. But no matter what, I will always find something about my body that I wish I could change. (For example, my thighs...but that's beside the point) I envy the women in the old paintings who were very plump, very pale skinned, and proud of what they looked like. God made the woman's body to be one of the most breath-taking sights known to man, but how can that be so if we are never comfortable with it ourselves? Beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder.

I guess I'm just really not all that great at this thing. I always forget to update it and I never really know what to say so I just keep on putting it off. Well, chances are I sure did go to a Rangers game last night, and although I have been to many, this was the first one in which they actually won! I was pretty pumped. I cannot believe that it is almost the middle of summer, and I cannot believe that it is almost time to go back to school. Oh what a semester it will be! I'm about to go to the lake, so I guess this is all for now. Have a good one!

Perfection is something that I've known only because I'm far too familiar with the imperfect. I'm kinda glad about that. Because then people would really hate me because I would be known as that girl who does everything perfectly and life would be boring.
