Today is my last day in New York City. I went to SOHO. Its name comes from the SOuth of HOuston Street. It is famous for art galleries, architecture and nice small shops. But the shops there are very expensive. Still I bought something again, very good deal on sale. Anyway it's my last shopping day in New York. I am happy I didn't lose control! This winter holiday is really really great experience for me and I really like New York City. Thank you very much, Frank.
I have packed up my stuff already. On one hand I am happy to go back. I love my Westwood but on the other hand I am really afraid of the new semester. There are too many problems I don't know how to solve. But I am sure things goanna be fine once it starts running.
My flight tomorrow takes off at 13:45 (New York Time) and arrives at Los Angeles at 18:55 (L.A. Time). And it takes around an hour to travel from the airport to my place. Because of the jet lag, it's acutally an eight hours' flight. Very tiring. And I have to transfer at Chicago... | | |

In the past two days, I went to the Empire State Building, the United Nation and the Wall Street. They are all worth visiting. I was really impressed when I got there. I got to the 86th floor of the Empire State Building (I can go to 102nd floor by paying extra 14 dollars, but I am too lazy to wait for such a long long time. I already waited for 2 hours to enter 86th). I am sure it would be very beautiful in the evening for the night view of Manhattan. But I went during the day. So it's not that amazing. For the United Nation, we can get in to see the main conference rooms, really exciting experience. On Wall Street, I saw the New York Stock Exchange and some famous companies.
I am going back to Los Angeles this Saturday. I have mixed feelings for the new semester. Time goes too fast. I have so many things to worry about that I am afraid I don't have the mood to enjoy the second semester any more. | | |

It rained for two days in NYC! Cold, windy and wet...Yesterday I went to the Statue of Liberty with Emily. It was very nice though it was a bit cloudy. We were already lucky that it didn't rain until late afternoon yesterday. We also went to the Ellis Island nearby. There is a U.S. Immigration History Museum on that Island. After that we went to the site of World Trade Center...nothing there now but only wreathes and memorials.
Today I went to the China Town. I had hoped to have my hair ironed but I was told the cheapest price is $70 - $150! So expensive even in China Town! I am too poor to afford that so I went back home...

A new year has come!
I just got back from my Washington D.C. trip. It's nice and Washington is really worth visiting. D.C. is very small but it's very clean and you can see nice architectures almost everywhere. In the 2 days' trip, I actually passed 6 states. Starting from New York, I passed New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Delaware (I just got to know that it's the second smallest state in U.S.), Maryland, Washington and Virginia. On the way to Washington, I stopped at Philadelphia and a nice harbor city in Maryland, Baltimore. In D.C. I visited the White House, Capital Hill, the Pentagon, Washington Monument, Lincoln and Jefferson memorials, Vietnam and Korean War Memorials and two museums. I took many pictures and I will post some of them on my SPACE later.
I did nothing special at all on New Year's Eve. I was so tired after a day's trip that I went to bed at ten. I have one more week left in New York before the new semester starts and I still have many attractions to visit~~~
