apple trees are blossoming! this year, the leaves on trees hatched twice for us. first, when we were in london, and then here, when we came back. it was a very neat sequence. it blew my mind to see this kind of thing. all you need to do is stay away  from this place for a week of April, and there you go - two springs in a row. step right up. i miss the smell of cherry trees blossoming. on my way home from school there were many of those trees. the month of may blows my mind. in a good way.

in london, we bought a lot of good used and new books and sheet music, we played in london parks and wandered around tate galleries. we went to camden on a rainy day and didn't let the vendors to fool us. we saw a bird make a nest under the bridge and met a squirrel who ate our chocolate cookies. here she is. they're all so friendly. there were LOTS of them actually. they would come very near us. london parks are worth moving to london. they are spacious and they come with squirrels.

on a cold day, driups smiled this kind smile.

and i laughed a clear duck laugh.

on a warm day, i remembered i had a magnifying glass with me.

at the airport we met a guy who looked VERY MUCH like the main character in No Country For Old Men. I mean the film. We told him that and he was like, "did i have a good role?" and we were like "umm, you were a very cool killer". He promised us that he'll see the film.
i love travelling with driups. this may it's five years since we've known each other. we met in london. so you see the connection. .>

it's been a while since last time. things that have changed are few. :) on my recorder i learnt to play that carpenters song, close to you. that's in honor of Marge Simpson, really. they keep playing this song in various episodes when things get romantic for Marge. maybe on other occasions, too. she even installed a door bell with this tune once. you might remember. driups plays our harmonica more often than I do. but i like it, too. our C harmonica started to act weird and we only have an A diatonic working properly now. the C tremolo is fine and i'm happy about it. the piano tuner came to mom's place the other day. that's for the piano that's sleeping there. can't wait till we visit her again and i can play. this might happen in May.
it's turned gloomy and rainy outside. i can't believe i'm in my winter coat again. i bought a pair of shoes, wore them for a day and realized i need half a size bigger ones. I might just give the small pair to mom. she can use them when she's doing things at her summer house. i wish you knew what a pain it is for me (and others) to get myself a pair of footwear. driups knows that too well. it has to be qualitative, and leather, and comfortable, and no heel and not too open (if it's for spring) and shouldn't leak and has to cost not too much. i just can't grow out of the idea that it's all possible. i got a new pair of shoes, the same kind, only half a size bigger. i feel bad about being so stupid to not be able to feel that there's a toe having not enough space in my shoe. but then again, it's quite funny. when i bought a recorder, i returned five minutes later to change it for another one.
right. coconut yogurt is good. driups and i made a modelling clay fingurine photo cartoon and we're both quite proud. i like the Spanish language and read El Pais once in a while. The funniest part is when I start sharing with driups some pieces of news that i read. I tell the news and he first looks at me slightly confused and then tries to politely check if he got me right, cos, you know, he, in turns, reads The New York Times and usually it turns out that he's read about the news i'm referring to and the problem is that the article he's read tells something a bit different from what i'm announcing. There's definitely enough room for improving my spanish. :) ok, i'll go do that.

hi

i was tagged by gretchen, who is so pretty, and decided to follow through. i'm afraid i won't be able to follow all the rules though. don't really know whom i could tag. everyone i felt like tagging here has already been tagged.

Here are the rules:

(1) Link to the person who tagged you.
(2) Post the rules.
(3) Share 6 non-important things/habits/quirks about yourself.
(4)Tag 3 people.

try not to be too bored:

1. when i see a grown-up manatee on TV, i start to cry because manatees look scary to me. especially their pelt, covered with something like moss. i have this trouble with manatees. seeing them kind of turns my stomach. don't know why. i don't see them too often on TV though. or anywhere else.

2. i love sending parcels and i love receiving books by post. that last one seems to be tarrying though. i'm a very impatient girl but i want to be patient some day.

3. i feel particularly satisfied about a day at uni when we have our lunches taken from home instead of buying food at a cafeteria downstairs.

4. i've caught a cold.

5. one of my favorite things that i have is a wooden embroidery loop. i don't get the time to embroider often but i love the loop. by summer, i'll embroider a sunflower and a bee.

6. a mouse lived in my room once.

juno soundtrack!

we just watched michael moore's Sicko. anyone of you seen it? basically, it's about the weirdness (maybe it's too weak a word judging from what the film shows) of American health care system. but it also refers to other systems in the world which the narrator seems to really like, like Canada and UK and France. i was wondering, umm, have you guys ever been maltreated (or even denied treatment or smth) within the American medical system because of some health insurance issues? i am just looking for real situations outside film.. even if it's a documentary. and what do you generally think about the system?

it's a good day, it's thursday. and we're starting to relax. i need to go now and cook that meat for us or it's getting outdated.

i had a good dream this night. driups and i had a baby and i totally felt it come out of me while i was dreaming (no i didn't pee in my dream or anything). it's weirder to tell than to feel, i understand. i seemed so funny to myself in that dream. i was forever amazed how not at all painful it came out. that's what i said. it felt like a ball bouncing out of me. the boy was wearing something blue afterwards and looked like driups. i told this dream to driups as we were waiting for the green light to cross the street. it's a pity we can't really afford a kid neither money-wise nor time-wise.

but, we can afford going to carneval parties. we're gonna dress up like a soviet boyscout and a girl scout (pioneers). with all the accessories and long white socks almost up to the knee  and badges and young pioneer's red ties. we're stiill looking for a small drum to take with us. but we're also going to be naughty pioneers and have a sling shot. driups's gonna look hillarious in gray shorts, the kind that good proper boys usually wear, and a white T-shirt and those long socks and everything. i guess we're gonna be thrown out of the soviet young pioneers' organization straight after the party. they've been threatening driups since the time he's grown "that long hair". this is something a decent pioneer shouldn't do. only girls should have long hair. the dissident! then again, maybe no one from the supervisors is going to come. they do serious business like propaganda and don't go to silly parties.

we're getting 2 credit point this term by playing ping pong twice a week. the gym is at the chemistry faculty of our university. we like going there.
