  • Lord knows I LOVE college. For the most part it's going great but I miss all sorts of things. Some things I can't see or do even when I come back on random weekends. I miss..

    - my mother's embrace and kisses and her attitudes
    - my father's hugs and kisses and kindness.
-my father's guitar playing and singing at the house and at church.
-my sister, especially when she didn't have her silly job that brought along her cool but mental boyfriend.
-my brothers. I don't miss anything particular, or maybe I miss everything about them. yes maybe even Noel's odd comments and Patrick's head shaking of his hair lol
-Auntie Rowena terribly. It's weird not talking with her at home or visiting her on Sundays anymore.
    - spending time with Rim.
-all my close friends' (or who used to be) laughs and inside jokes, just spending time with them.
    - the dogs Timi and Milo when they're cute.
-St. Columba Church and Youth meetings!!!!
    -so much more

I know I'm not very far from home but it's hard to go home EVERY weekend.

I'm not moping around now, but maybe if I actually get into the Peace Corps one day, that's 27 months without all that and more.yaaaaaaayaaanoooooo I will probably be moping then, but I get to help people at the same time. I pray that I get a degree and lots of volunteer+leadership experience to get in. Eczema better not cause me trouble with that process.

OK, i'll type another xanga entry in maybe 6 months.

  • My Auntie Rowena is one of the most important women in my life. I will always consider her my second mother. I am thankful to God she is no longer suffering and that she is with Him.

  • I'm 18 as of today.

As a gift to myself with graduation/birthday money, I bought myself a gyro combo for lunch at work. Pretty darn good gyro.

  • I graduated from high school today!

Pat took too many boring pictures, and by the time we got outside, the battery ran out. AHHHHH. That angers me, but I'm still thankful. still....no family pics or friends after on our kodak.

Congratulations Oxon Hill Class of 2007!
