| hello again. this may be the last contrail xanga entry ever as we are this close to having a bona fide website at www.acontrailtofollow.com. it's not up yet but will be SOON. it was about time, don't you think? the new record is still in the tweak stages. we have to re-record a few parts and the artwork etc., is still in process. we're all pleased with the way it's turned out, though. finally, we are playing at swayze's in marietta this sunday, september 17. the show starts at seven and is $7 at the door. other bands are: sorry no ferrari, the monkery (nyc) and succeeding to fail. hope to see some folks come out. thank you again, ethan | | |
| summer's over and it's back to the drag. we're in the "tweak" stage of our 8-song album. jamey bozeman has kindly offered to mix and master it (as before). matt still has to finish the artwork and then its off to the press. we may put a song or two up on myspace if we feel so led. here is a (tentative) track listing:
1. Intro 2. Airtight 3. Some may speak while others shout 4. Your summer dress and your quietness 5. Greenpeace 6. You can see miles from here 7. Firefly 8. If tomorrow comes I'll wake
we're playing a show next thursday (august 31) with two northern records bands; our friends they sang as they slew and their label-mates wilderness of tekoa. it will be at they sang as they slew's place (downstairs from ours, about three minutes from TFC campus), about 7pm. there will probably be a small ($2-3) cover charge.
also, we're playing swayze's in marietta sunday, september 17. more local shows to come. it's good to be playing again.
rumors of a december east-coast tour in support of our recording are afloat, so watch this space.
thank you very much, ethan | | |

| There've been some pretty major changes in Contrail over the past few weeks. Dan has left the band as his life changes and moves on; we're grateful that he lent his remarkable talents to our project for a while, and we wish him nothing but the very very best. We'll miss him playing with us. For the time being Luke will take up bass duties and we're happy about that. In general, though, we feel like it's finally time to begin taking this project more seriously in terms of playing out and eventually, recording. We've been hesitant in the past to commit to the group on this higher level but we've finally decided to pull out the stops. In light of these changes, we'll appear in the future as "Leo says Ger" which seems to fit us a little bit better. Also, a website is in the very early stages of production, so this blogger may be coming to an end in the not-so-distant future.
Don't forget to stop by our Leo says Ger myspace, see the changes, and listen to the songs.
We're excited about what lies ahead. Screw convention! We blaze ahead.
Love to everyone, "Leo says Ger"
