By the way, most of my xanga entries from now on (generally about one or two per week) will be "protected" for internet privacy reasons.   Just sign in to view them, and if you're not on the list, please feel free to ask.

You will need to have a xanga account to view the protected posts, but it's quite easy to sign up for a free account.  Then just send me an email with your new account name and I'll add you to the list so that whenever you're signed in to your xanga account, all my posts will be visible.  You can also set it up to send you an email whenever I post a new blog entry, if that's more convenient.

Hi Tim. Thanks for the link you left in the comment on my post. I don't know if I'm on your list or not. Alot of times I forget to check for protected posts. Have a good weekend.

Am I on the list? I think you only get 10 people without paying for Xanga.

In comment to a comment on my Senior Pastor or bishop post--you brought up a good point.  First of all, you know I just ask questions, not always knowing the answer :)  Mark Driscoll's church calls Jesus the Senior Pastor, and the leader of the elders the Lead Pastor, seeing that organizations usually need a leader to function.  My question is that when the leaders role changes, and because of size, they are essentially focused on shepherding the other leaders, do we have a better term than "pastor" which connotes that they will be with the people constantly?

Hi Tim,

I would like to invite you to join my new blogring: "Reasonable Faith". Atheists need to concede that they don't hold the monopoly on reason, but share it with theists who have equally rationale reasons for their beliefs.

You can read a description of the blogring  here. Right now there are only two members, but I'm hoping to change that soon

Shalom,
Chris

Sure!  It's a really basic handout though... nothing mind-shattering.  Can I be added to your xanga list so we can get your updates?  How's life?  Thanks!

I think 3 years is the longest a relationship among adults should last before there's an engagement, but I personally think us teenagers need to at least go to college to meet more people so we're sure we've found "the one." But no, I think it would be ridiculous to have a 10-year relationship that never gets anywhere.

RYC: Thanks for commenting back IMO governmnet for the people by the people decays in contented apathy while faceless individuals manipulate and exploit the system for self serving ends. The truth isn't public and the public is led like lambs to the slaughter. I donot believe any deity (not yours not theirs and not mine either) is going to appear and magically set society to rights. It is our responsibility to do this for that is what would serve the divine purpose of what we perceive as existance.
