Currently Listening: Once

Is anyone out there?

Hello, Xanga world.  It's been a while and I'm guessing there are a lot less xangans out there now than before.  And I refuse to get on facebook because I know I will never get any work done while... at work.

We just celebrated our 1 yr. wedding anniversary only a couple of weeks ago.  We survived!  And boy, did the year fly by.  Here's to many more!

There's not much going on in our neck of the woods.  Tim's been busy at work, as have I.  We work, go home, eat, watch tv, sleep.... Monday thru Friday.  Such exciting lives we lead!

Trying to go somewhere Carribean before summer hits full swing.  Anyone have any suggestions (that won't break the budget)?  Please, do tell!

Dreamer...

So apparently 2 nights ago, I displayed yet again another one of my odd sleeping habits.  I knocked out in bed, dreamt about smoking a cigarette for the first time, thoroughly enjoyed it and realized how easily I could get addicted, then "woke up" to tell Tim about it.  Apparently, I explained to him how "I just had this dream that I was smoking a cigarette and it felt so real, and I was sipping wine...".

This all happened within the first 5 minutes of my slumber.  I definitely remember having the dream, but I definitely do NOT remember telling Tim about.  Sleep talking?  Perhaps.

Just ask him... he could probably tell you a lot of weird things I've done in my sleep.

A Time for Everything

There is a time for everything,
and a season for every activity under heaven:
a time to be born and a time to die,
a time to plant and a time to uproot
a time to kill and a time to heal,
a time to tear down and a time to build,
a time to weep and a time to laugh,
a time to mourn and a time to dance,
a time to scatter stones and a time to gather them,
a time to embrace and a time to refrain,
a time to search and a time to give up,
a time to keep and a time to throw away,
a time to tear and a time to mend,
a time to be silent and a time to speak,
a time to love and a time to hate,
a time for war and a time for peace...
He has made everything beautiful in its time...
[Ecclesiastes 3:1-8;11a]

2007 has been a joyous and tough year, all in one.  What are your reflections?

Another post...?

*Edit*

It's a slow week at work- what can I say?

Thanks to G.Ko, G.Kim, Jhon & P.Ahn for a fun weekend in NYC.  We must have gained about 25 lbs. between the 6 of us.  I think we ate every 2 hours starting Friday night into Sunday morning.  Haha   I always love visiting the Big Apple during the holidays... something about the tree @ Rockefeller and walking down 5th Ave. puts you in the (commercialized) Christmas spirit.  Just gotta remember that there's more to it than just the gifts and pretty decorations...

*random note*

My boss' husband is a woodworker.  He's pretty much built almost all the furniture in their house- very impressive.  But I have to say, my favorite creation of his is the crab mallet.  This is not an ordinary wooden mallet, but he filled the head with liquid lead to make it heavier, so one only has to pound a crab once to crack it open.  What a genius!

So you can imagine how happy I was when I walked into work this morning, and found a box of chocolates and 2 crab mallets sitting on my desk
