Yes, indeed, it has been a while.  14 months apparently, looking at my last post date.  Things have been good, very good, which means I should have a good bit more to talk about.  That doesn't mean I will, but I can dream. 

Currently I am taking two summer courses: a four week course over CS Lewis' works, and an eight week online course in psychology.  CS Lewis is amazing, as is psychology, but the classes themselves are a bit lacking.  Regardless, I am learning a lot and sharpening my cognitive skills.  Woo hoo. 

I will be returning to Michigan the first week of June and staying until the middle of August.  At that time I will be returning to LeTourneau to get ready for RA stuff on my floor during my senior year.  Graduating in four years with degree in mechanical engineering.  Oh yeah!

So thanks to some influence from the brothers at Grace College, a group of us guys on my floor went unshaven for the month of February, followed by a day of only mustaches.  Girls gave us mixed responses including some complimentary, and some more on the lines of calling us molesters.  They must have had a bad experience as a child.  Sad day.  Thursday at noon I hop on a bus to the Dallas airport where about 25 of us from LeTourneau will be boarding a plane to cross "the pond."  A whole week of learning and tourism through the country of Greece, focusing on Biblical sites and Ancient Greece.  I will be getting 3 credits of upper level Bible electives for the trip (and some tests and papers related to our trip).  I'm not sure that I am ready to go; I feel quite unprepared, but Thursday is coming fast anyway.  I'll be gone March 8th-18th.  Well, I think I'll go get ready to go to church.  I have been going to Crossroads Community Church for about a month now.  I have really gotten to like it there.  They've got something good going there.  I haven't put a finger on it exactly, but they are very family and community focused, and there are a lot of children running around all over the place.  That last part by itself might be the one getting me.  I love hanging out with my little siblings, and it's kinda like seeing them.  Have a great week,

A large amount of my time this semester is dedicated to working on a human powered water distiller, by boiling.  We have reached our first milestone of getting the back wheel off the ground. We will be use the back wheel to turn a motor to create electricity, then use the electricity to heat up an element and boil water.  Crazy!  I've made the decision to assume the role of Peer Advisor for another year here at LeTourneau.  Well, back to the books.  I have a goal of having at least one completely free Sunday without any homework this semester.  I really would like to use Sunday as a day of rest, but I haven't reached that point yet.  Have an awesome day!

for my feet.  I went to the Longview Mall for the first time since I've been here at LU.  I got an awesome pair of tennis shoes, which I have not had a new pair of shoes since the summer after high school.  It's like a party for my feet.  Not too many late homework nights, yet.  I'm sure they'll come, but I have had adequate sleep this whole semester.  We'll see how long that lasts.  This is supposed to be my hardest semester yet, but I think I've been worked up to it, and although it will be tough, I will be able to take it on.  Below are the everyday shoes I had been using, followed by my uber-awesome new kicks.  Have a fantastic weekend!
