I'll drink to that! It's official - we've definitely got the World Record for the 'Largest Number of People Dressed as Robin Hood' (click here for details) - confirmation came from the good folks at Guinness World Records last week. So to celebrate, how about a nice pint of beer? In fact, how about a few? The first Robin Hood Beer Festival is going to be held at Nottingham Castle from Thursday 9th to Sunday 12th October 2008 and I'll be attending as the Castle's official Robin, of course! For more details click here! Oh, and did I mention that I love my job?

Cheque it out! Just before the big St. George's Day parade and festival last Saturday I met up with the winners of one of the competitions we ran during our successful attempt to break the world record for the most Robin Hoods in one place - 2418 (Sherwood) Squadron of the ATC (Air Training Corps) were the largest group of Robins with 48 members and thus won a £250 cheque from the Castle Rock Brewery for the charity of their choice. The cheque was presented by the brewery on Saturday morning by Nottingham's famous Robin Hood statue, and along with many members of the ATC (both in uniform and costume) were Colin Wilde from the brewery, Dave Green (Nottingham Castle's manager) and myself!
