Interests: It's free. This is what Christ came to do: fulfill a righteousness and die a death that would remove all your sins and become for you a perfect righteousness. He offers you this today as a gift. If you see him as true and precious, if you take the gift and trust in it, you will have a peace with God that passes all understanding. You will be a secure person. You will not need the approval of others. You will not need the ego-supports of wealth or power or revenge. You will be free. You will overflow with love. You will lay down your life in the cause of Christ for the joy that is set before you. Look to Christ and trust him for your righteousness. -John Piper

Dear Annie,

It’s been so great getting to know you these past two years, and it’s been fun to be a part of your life as you got engaged.  I can’t believe that your wedding is less than a month away!!  I’m so happy for you especially since I can tell that you and Ethan have really set your hearts on serving God together.  Marriage is an awesome thing that can get better and better as the years go by.  And I wish you all the happiness that it brings.  I’m excited to watch and see how God’s plan unfolds for you and Ethan in your life together.  Maybe someday we’ll see each other on the mission field.  I’ll be praying for you during the crazy days before the wedding!!

                                                                        Love ya,

                                                                                    Megan

PS:  Enjoy the Honeymoon!!!!

Dear Kristi,

I’ve really enjoyed getting to know you better this past semester.  I especially enjoyed our little chats about marriage.  It’s so fun to watch you go through this exciting time in your life.  I can tell that you are really happy, and even though I’ve never met Josh I bet he’s an awesome man of God.  I wish you all the blessings that marriage can bring.  I think that it gets better and better every year.  You will be in my prayers during these upcoming months, especially as you and Josh decipher God’s will for your life together.

                                                                        Love ya,

                                                                                    Megan

Here I am chilling at Lake Komo in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin on Megan and I's anniversary get-away:

I did hang out with her too...

At the lake view restaurant:

And relaxing on our little porch:

It went way too fast!

Please note that all these pics were done with the use of a timer, I think I did a great job!

Well, it has been a good long while since I last updated. Life has been busy, like a Pacific West Line Metra, it just flies by. I have been in a month long intensive Biblical Greek class, 8-12:00 everday, with a minimum of 5 hours of homework. It's been brutal but rewarding, and I pray that someday it will bear fruit for God's kingdom.

Also, Megan and I have been in communication and began (tenatively) to move forward with a missionary organization called TEAM (www.teamworld.org). We are still in the early stages but we like the process they have for new recruits, we will see.

Megan's parents are coming to visit this weekend, should be a good time although Grant is bringing his bike and once to humiliate me in front of my wife. As of now I will be racing my 49.00 Target special, the breaks are bad but I can make that puppy purr when need be.

I am discipling a guy at our church that is home for the summer, that has been massively rewarding and I love to speak into young men's lives and push them toward life in Jesus. To no ones  suprise we are using Wild At Heart, that's right, I still believe in the essential Eldridge.

I have been writing some poetry again.

Too thin girl

Long finger marble knuckles

Not enough skin sewed over bones

The mirror has been a liar for so long

But no one knows, no one even sees her.

She is invisible like wind

Her father forgot her name long ago

Her mother is dripping in denial

She is a skeleton with a heart that is famined and dried up

Like an African disaster.

Meet Abe. We are dog-watching this weekend. He is a Boston Terrier. He is easily freightened and often trembles with fear, but thankfully he only poops outside, which is cool.

I could get used to having a dog, I think. I don't have to talk to him, we both just kind of sit around and chill.

Here are some pics for Megan and I's meeting with the fam. Although there are no pics to show it, the men all played a round of disc golf which I handely won, it really wasn't that hard either.

Here Megan teaches us the etiquette of picnic wiffleball.

Always quick to take the most humble seat. Here you see that Brian has stolen a shirt I purchased at Plato's Closet in Fairfield over three years ago.

It took a lot of begging, but we finally talked my parents into meeting us half way, just trying to keep the family together, you know how I am!
