| Jesus would smell like smoke. Jesus would hang out with drug dealers. Jesus would be in jail a lot. Jesus would be with the outcasts. Jesus would sit at the loser table. Jesus would be the first one to church, and the last to leave. Jesus would have lice. Jesus would hang out with the contagious. Jesus would go to the movies with hookers and sluts. Jesus would eat dinner with the gamblers and the addicted. Jesus would give the adulterer a ride to work. Jesus would give the homeless all he had on his back, and bring the rest with him tomorrow. Jesus would sleep in homeless shelters. Jesus would smuggle Bibles. Jesus would sit next to the man with the turban on the plane. Jesus would take the homosexual out to lunch. Jesus would hug the aborter. Jesus would pray for our government. Jesus would live in the danger zones. Jesus would reach the unreached. Jesus would adopt the fatherless. Jesus would listen to the elderly. ...would you? | | |
| A lesson when vacuuming. Surprisingly, this is not the first time that God has spoken to me while doing this seemingly unimportant task. Without fail He reminds me that we are so similar to the dirt and soot on the floor. We hide behind the bigger objects as to not be seen, and lurk in the darkest corners. When a clean room becomes dirty we notice it, we think about it, but eventually over time if we do not tend to it- the dirt gets thicker and more apart of what we are used to. As do our lives get covered in the murk from this world. What was spotless and clean is covered. Dirty, we are dirty. Then comes God. He takes what was ugly, filthy, and unclean and wipes it away. He takes His time to thoroughly remove what has been defiled. And every once in a while, He stops and picks up the clumps with His own hands--the things that the vacuum didn't pick up. Nothing is too big, small, gross, or sick for His nail pierced hands. In fact, He enjoys the dirtiest rooms. The more defiled--the more glory. God's power is made strongest in our weakness and brought so much brighter when we allow Him to see our ugliest parts, and take them and make them beautiful again--like new. "Purify me from my sins, and I will be clean; wash me, and I will be whiter than snow." Psalm 51:7 | | |

| questions: why is it that people who are the hardest to love, need it the most? why does a lie sometimes feel like the truth? why does it cost over $200 to see the person you care the most about? why can i make it across campus in 14 minutes one day and not in 25 the next day? why do can i not make above a 'C' this semester? why do i face the same giants everyday? why do the hours of the day drag on, but the time you have to sleep flies? why do i complain when i have so much? why are the never any parking spaces when you need them? why do i not do what i need to do when i have the time? ...but most importantly why does God still love me at the end of the day? | | |
| Imagen missing someone. Imagen not seeing the only person you want to see. Imagen distance. Imagen dreams. Imagen giving anything to hold them. Now imagen seeing their face. Imagen the second you realize they are standing behind you. Imagen bliss. Imagen heaven. Imagen not trading 2 days for for anything in the universe. ...imagen if it was real--'cause for me it was.
