| What's up with life and an awesome joke at the end. This semester, I'm characterizing it by getting into the best shape I can, more than just running shape. I've been trying to bike and swim two times a week, lift three times a week and, of course, run track. I can see improvements but my main concern is to not burn out. We'll see how this track season goes. First race is March 25th.
I don't know what I want to do this summer, and actually life in general. It's kind of stressing me out... We'll see what happens. I've got stuff lined up for this summer, but that will be for another Xanga entry...
We got 14 new guys for the Possums. They are solid guys. I'm psyched.
I've been reading James again. It's a good, down-to-earth, tells you exactly what to do, practical part of the Bible.
Well, I leave you with this (and it's definitely stolen from my friend's facebook page.) -------------------AWESOME JOKE-------------------
Three Arkansas
surgeons were playing golf together and discussing surgeries they had
performed. One of them said, "I'm the best surgeon in Arkansas. In my
favorite case, a concert pianist lost seven fingers in an accident, I
reattached them, and 8 months later he performed a private concert for
the Queen of England."
The second surgeon said. "That's nothing.
A young man lost an arm and both legs in an accident, I reattached
them, and 2 years later he won a gold medal in track and field events
in the Olympics."
The third surgeon said, "You guys are
amateurs. Several years ago a woman was high on cocaine and she rode a
horse head-on into a train traveling 80 miles an hour. All I had left
to work with was the woman's blonde hair and the horse's ass. I was
able to put them together and now she's running for President.

| Ahhhh Grove CityHere's the scoop...
I'm back at Grove City now. Have been for about a week and a half. I've been taking a History of Art class that GCC requires everyone to take. It's actually kind of interesting and verrrrrry easy, which is a nice change from the ordinary. But regular classes start up again this coming Monday. Yikes!
Track starts up soon too. That is something that I am looking forward too. Winter training is getting hard to do day after day. It's cold outside... ;)
I'm not a big football fan but for some reason, being at Grove City has
given me an intense hatred for the Steelers. I'm glad they suck.
So... I've been playing Guitar Hero III a lot and getting decent at it. I'm able to 5 star a few songs on expert! Haha... I wish those skills transfered over to real guitar playing...
I'm the president of the Possums (my housing group) for these upcoming spring and fall semesters. I'm excited yet kind of starting to feel the burden of this responsibility. I've got to plan our formal! Heh... oh well. Our new shirts look awesome and hats are on the way. I'm thinking that this upcoming year for Phi Omega Sigma will be a blast. We've got to start "recruiting" new guys to join. So that's on the agenda.
Time sure does fly. I can't believe I only have three more semesters left!!!! The "real" world is coming on fast. I'm pretty sure it is still going to blindside me when those three semesters are up.
That is all. Adios.

| So... yeah... I only seem to update on breaks.First off, HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!
Finals went ok. Grades turned out better than expected... No underwater grades
ACHTUNG! CMC '07 was just this past week. I was able to serve as a small group leader. What a great experience. The guys in my group were awesome. It was a blast to work with them and get to know them. For me, CMC was a huge reality check. God definitely put some burdens on my heart over that week. I pray that I will be able keep to the commitments I made over that week. I did get sick the night I got home. It was a bummer because I had to miss out on a New Year's Party the next day. But I'm just thankful that I wasn't sick during the week.
Staying motivated to run is getting kind of tough... but track is almost here. So yep... going on a run right now!

| Have I ever said how much I love running???Regionals at Lehigh: This is how it went down. Lots of fans came out from GCC which was awesome. They drove 4.5 hours to get there! The girls ran first and had an amazing race. Almost everyone ran a personal best time or came within 5 seconds of their personal best. They gave it all they had. It got the guys pumped for our race. So the guys are warming up... we are all pretty nervous. We get to the line and start taking off our warmups. There are 280 runners total. The gun goes off and as expected the start is fast. Before the first mile, someone trips me and I fall completely, scraped knee and all. But I scramble to get up and sprint towards where Brett is at to make up for the time I lost. Brett and I go through the first mile in 5:10... big mistake for me. I end up going through the 3 mile in 16:16 and the 5k mark in 16:52 (which is a 5k PR for me!). I end the 8k race in 27:14. I PR'ed by 26 seconds. But... I came in 7th on the team which was awesome... Everyone on the team stepped it up and ran an incredible season-ending race. Everyone else on the team PR'ed by almost 30 seconds if not more. It made me proud to be on such a great team. Next year, we will be incredible.
Soooo after Lehigh, the guy's season was over... but we had two girls qualify for the National DIII XC meet at St. Olaf University in Minnesota... So almost being impulsive and crazy... RJ, Brett, Jess V. and I decided we wanted to go to Minnesota. So we skip classes all day Friday and start out our trip Thursday night. It was about a 13 hour drive but we made it. We watched Julia and Carter run. Let me tell you... that race was insane! soooo many fast people there. I was honestly in awe. You could see how much each person fought tooth and nail for each position on the course. almost scary... Well Carter ran a 21:59 and Julia ran 23:11 for the 6k. Carter got 26th place and All-American. Julia came in 129th place. It was an inspiring race and that is where we want both teams to be next year...
So winter track training starts up right when we get back from Turkey break. The long distance track coach just resigned two days ago from his coaching position. He is a pastor at a local church and his responsibilities were getting to become too much to handle with track. He's a great man and I completely respect his decision... But now we are left with this open spot and we'll see what happens when we get back to school...
Have a great Thanksgiving. -Tim
