MySpace has made me MIA from Xanga

I find it very interesting how our interest in things comes and goes.

Back when I was in third grade, I was obsessed with Strawberry Shortcake.  My entire room was like an homage to that sweet strawberry scented doll and all her fruity friends   Only a few short years later, we were redecorating my room into what you would call a more "grown up" motif.  But then when I headed of to college, out came the 101 Dalmatian sheets and comforter!!!  Thankfully now, I am back to being a "grown up", at least in the bedding area.

It's a similar situation with MySpace, Facebook, Xanga, etc...  Everyone jumps on the bandwagon in the beginning, but after a while it seems that no one finds anything you post interesting and they stop leaving comments.  So, you decide that it's not worth it and you move onto something else which will eventually become something that you leave behind.

I would like to end this post by admitting that my interest in many things has waned and some interests have completely fallen out of my life, but I have recaptured some of my childhood bedroom memories in the form of a pair of Strawberry Shortcake pajama pants

I wear them proudly.

It's been 5 years and 1 day since the world witnessed one of the worst terrorist attacks in history.  September 11, 2001 will forever be remembered as a tragic day filled with sorrow, pain and unknown heros but ultimately hope.

It's been 5 years since my mom left this earth and went home to be with her Savior.  September 12, 2001 will forever be remembered by me as a day filled with sorrow, family, friends and the eternal hope that I will see her again someday!

Thank you, Mom, for giving me life, song and drama

Update from me, your favorite lover of the color green

Went on vacation (or as my niece once said, pay-cation and boy was she right!) and had a blast!  Now I, like everybody else, love D.C.!!  Tom and I strolled around our nation's captial together and enjoyed the sights, sounds and food...yum!  Thanks to Justin Ely for taking us to a really great restaurant on Tuesday night!

Two days after returning from vacation, I had my wisdom teeth out.  That was NOT a good time.  But I am recovering and I think I even lost a few pounds from not eating much.  I don't plan on continuing that diet because I miss food...real food that you can chew not just swallow.

This weekend is the CREW retreat and I am looking forward to getting to know all the new students!  Hopefully my face won't hurt too bad this weekend...

For anyone I haven't seen yet since you returned to school, I apologize and I hope our paths cross soon!!!

Well...I'm glad that's over!!!!!!!!!

It has been a hectic summer to say the least, but I'd rather be busy than bored.  And I was NOT bored by any means over the past 2 months!  I planned and successfully executed 9 events here at Cedarville University since the beginning of June.

This past Saturday, I was privileged to be a part of Corrie (formerly Hines) & Chris Bailey's wedding.  Congrats to those two who are soaking up the sun in the Bahamas (ok, I'm a little jealous.)

Next Saturday, I get to whip out my creative side and decorate for Renee Nester's wedding.  It's going to be fabulous!!

On August 5, Tom and I will be traveling to Indy to celebrate his Grandpa Charlie's 90th birthday!  Way to go, Grandpa Charlie!!

On August 12, I will be joining in the wedding celebration for Megan Miller...I can't believe you are getting married, Megan!!!!!!!!!

And then on August 13, after months of hard work and endless toil (drumroll please) --

Tom and I are heading east to Washington D.C. for VACATION!!!!!!!!!!  Since I've never been there, I am excited to see all the historical stuff that most people got to see on their 8th grade field trips.

To all of you heading back to the 'Ville for Getting Started, I won't see you until Monday, August 21.  And P.S.--I switched offices so you'll have to see if you can find my new office

No time.

Too much to do.

Will resurface when the crazy summer is over and my desk is free of the evil paper virus.

Don't miss me too much
