Hey everyone. Jeannie here. I've been kind of a loser when it comes to adding up points this week for the challenge, but don't think I'm not working my butt off. I've used this week to create my own personal challenges. Since they don't coorespond with the Tone It Up program, I'm kind of off this week as far as points are concerned. But man am I sore. So sore, in fact, that I took a bath mid-afternoon yesterday. Anyone every try a DVD with a stability ball? They're amazing! Between that and my new kickboxing DVDs, I'm moving parts I don't think I've moved in quite some time. For those of you with the program, today's challenge is as follows: Pre-Weekend Semi-Fast & Triple Yoga points, so if you do a 30 min yoga DVD, you get 90 points. 200 points for semi-fast. I can certainly use some serious yoga to unkink my back, but first I think I'll feed my new fitness ball addiction. Seriously, ya gotta try it. Here are the two DVDs I recently bought: 10 Minute Solutions Fitness Ball workout Verdict: great workout! The cardio is the best. It's amazing what a challenge you're abs get doing crunches on this bad boy. And it's just plain fun. There are five, 10-min segments: legs/buns, arms, abs, cardio, and flex. Quick fix stability ball workout I love Keli Roberts. She also does the 10 Min. Solutions Kickboxing Bootcamp dvd (which is another reason I'm sore right now.) This is the best abs workout I've gotten in a long time. There are three, 10 min. segments: legs, arms and abs. The kickboxing DVD is killer as well: kickboxing intro, legs, arms (ouch), cardio (double ouch) and washboard abs. Ouch Ouch Ouch. I might as well throw in the last DVD is recently purchased. 10 Minute Solutions Rapid Results Pilates This is Lara Hudson's third pilates/yoga 10 min. sol DVD. I have them all and this one is a world of hurt compared to the other two. I did it yesterday and let's just say I skipped the arms after what Keli Roberts did to me the day before. Just like the other 10 min solutions formats, this one has: legs, arms (ouch), abs, cardio and flex (which, by the way, is more like working out and less like relaxing.) Can you tell I'm a nut for my 10 Min. Solutions? What I love about them is you can do the entire DVD, or pick and choose which workouts you want to do. They're great for Tone It Up b/c if it's an arms day, I pop in each DVD I have and do the arms segments until I want to die. And seriously, I'm feeling the difference. Everything is tighter than it was two weeks ago. Now, screw paying your cable bill and get yourself a stability ball and a couple DVDs to go with it. You won't be sorry! Your body might, but it will thank you for it later.
