Struggles: part 2

Why do we go day by day and not really think about God?

I have not really read my Bible in about 2 years. I use it when there is a need or I am forced to look up scripture. It used to be a struggle for me to read my Bible but it is not even that anymore. I know it all I guess. How can I be so foolish? So basically the struggles have become an after thought there is no more struggling because i choose to ignore it. I have chosen to push it aside and not focus on them. How is it that i do not care that I am not reading the Bible? How did I get to this *#%&#@! point!? I am a Christian! Why do I not feel like one? This is my ultimate struggle. I am tired of being comfortable with where I am at in my life. I want to be uncomfortable for once. I want to be challenged. Wow, that is really scary to think what could happen. What am I asking? Being comfortable is uncomfortable. I hate the feeling of being ok with life. I never want to be ok with life.

Are you comfortable? What are we to do?

So it has been a while since i have posted anything on myy blog.

I have written a poem I thought i would share it with all of ya'll let me know what ya'll think.

The War that Never Ends

Bright eyed little boy, standing near a ghost town house

Smoke rising, from charred half trees

Smell of rubber, hair, and scorched flesh, black smoke in the air

Breath deep, lungs wheeze, scream, hack in despair

Bodies everywhere

Red covers metal spikes and hard plastic

Stomp of brown hard soles, dust rises

A brass casing falls

The shine of a machine, that brings death

Cold caresses the skin, but warm water drops drip from the pores

Screams come from everywhere

Bodies lying on the floor

Red maroon liquid, puddles around still life

Orange and yellow flickers, engulf metal and wood ashes in the air

So this is why i do not like Oprah

Well you all have watched Oprah at least once in your life time. We all know how she has given away tons of stuff throughout the years. This person that makes $456 dollars a minute, $27,360 an hour, $656,640 in 24 hours, and $4,596,480 a week, really care about anybody but themselves? She does do nice things on her show like give new cars to her audience, but really do you think she really did that because she likes people that much? And when she does these things does she do them without being in the light? I really have lost respect for her. I feel like the only reason she does such things is to ake herself look good. Does she do it with Love? I really wonder what she really could do with that money if she really cared? Lets think maybe help out all the starving people in Africa, help combat the AIDS pandemic, or even help the millions of homeless living in America. The only reason she has that money is because she has done these couple of nice things for people on her show. I really do not understand why people want so much money that they are willing to use or do anything to people to get it, and when the get it they lust after more. Maybe i am wrong about Oprah. Maybe she does give her money to help fight world hunger. It pisses me off though that she raises awareness for all these things going wrong in the world but she does not take action. Just like the journalist that were reporting in New Orleans when katrina hit. They would stick a camera and microphone in the faces of the victims and not lift a finger to help them. Its all about the story not the people. Its about the money not the people. I had a person one time that the men who own oil companies do not deserve to get all the money that the are getting, yes this person watches opra, no one on earth needs that much money. Does Oprah need that money too? who really does? Why do we let money control our lives so much? How can we break the mold of greedy money lusting Americans? Where do we begin? Jesus said it is easier for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter heaven. Why is that?
