  • Our Wedding Pictures

I don't think I will be updating this site much. Tyler and I have talked about starting a new blog. It may be a while though! We have been busy. I started attending the University of Kansas right after we got back from our honeymoon. I decided on a major - Communication Studies. I can actually say I am excited about it. It is a major that is broad enough to incorporate a lot of areas I am interested in.

The main reason I am writing this entry is to share our wedding photos. Here is the website:

  • It is supposed to snow on our wedding day. I guess that's a good thing or a bad thing depending on how I look at it.

  • 24 days to go... crazy!

Thursday I drove up to Kansas City and met up with Tyler at Derek and Amy's house. We all hung out together and I stayed there Thursday night. Friday I went to the apartment while Tyler was at work and put away some more of my stuff. I have been slowly bringing my things up to Kansas City whenever I happen to be up there. I decided to shop at the mall that afternoon while I waited to pick Tyler up from work. It was very busy! I met Tyler at his work and then we went down the Plaza. We were both dressed up for his work Christmas party. I was in a dress and a thin coat. It was so chilly outside that we ran back to the car and drove around instead. We met his coworkers back at his work and then drove to Trazo Mare. We thought it was a French restaurant, but the name is actually half Italian, half Spanish. Trazo means treasure and mare means sea. It happened to be a fancy sea food restaurant instead of a French restaurant. It was expensive, but we didn't have to pay for it. Friday night we left Kansas City around 11:00 in the evening to get back to Wichita. It started snowing on the way home, but it really wasn't a problem. Saturday we had marriage counseling and then got Jesse fitted for his tux. Saturday night we went to a Christmas play in Newton. Sunday was an interesting day...

I think we are both ready for the wedding to be over. There is so much to do! I am ready for life to settle back down.

  • I think that the city of Wichita over reacted a little bit today. Most of the schools are closed down due to "inclement weather". I heard the roads are fine. I am a little bit disappointed that my last final of the semester, which was supposed to be tonight, has been moved to NEXT Tuesday. I have been wanting to be done with finals so I can concentrate on wedding plans. In some ways it may be a blessing that my final is next week. I haven't studied much for it.

This Friday Tyler has his work Christmas party. I am driving up to Kansas City and we are going to eat a fancy French restaurant. I need to buy a cute dress for the occasion. Hopefully I can find a dress that I can wear to the Christmas party, the rehearsal dinner, and wear as my "get-away dress". I think I am going to find a dress and buy thank you gifts for people helping with our wedding today. I have a feeling stores will be extremely busy once people find out the roads aren't bad.

I want to start a brand new blog. I have been looking into a Typepad blog, but it costs $50 for a year subscription. I suppose I can be content with Facebook and Myspace (which are free), but I like to write, I don't like to just post pictures. I used to write on Xanga all of the time back in the day.

  • Today is my last day I have to sit through a class. Saturday morning I have a Spanish final and Tuesday night I have my European History final. I can't describe how happy I will be to be done with this semester. In the spring I plan to attend KU to finish my degree. I can't believe I am becoming the family traitor. I have yet to decide what my major is. I guess I will have to wait until the end of next fall to see what I come up with (hopefully I am done with school by then). I can't actually enroll in my classes at KU until after I get back from my honeymoon. There's always a possibility that all of the classes I have the slightest interest in may already be full. In that case I will find a full-time job in Kansas City and go to school whenever the door opens up again. I am off to my last day of class!
