Seven die in Flagstaff helicopter crash

There was a horrific accident in Flagstaff on Sunday afternoon, June 29, when two medical choppers collided in mid-air. Seven people are reported dead as a result of the tragedy.

Authorities say the choppers crashed into each other and fell to the ground near Flagstaff Medical Center and other buildings. Three people inside one of the choppers were killed, while authorities are still trying to determine if the other four people killed were on board the other chopper, or were on the ground.

Upon initial impact the crash sparked a wildfire which burned ten acres, and hampered rescue efforts until it was put out.

The grocery store where we're about to go grab milk and cereal for our morning breakfast is a mile away from Switzer Canyon Mesa where this took place.  We were gone all day in Phoenix and exploring Arizona ~ winning $300 in the lottery, actually ~ and came home to this news.  It's a sobering reminder of perspective, of blessings, of sadness sometimes.  Prayers and thoughts go out to the families involved...it's a small town, friends.  I'm sure we know them somehow.

Tonight was the night.  I just quit Job # 2 at The Man's Hotel O' Rules.....or, gave notice, at least.  I feel so...HUMAN.  So much more like me.  I'm anticipating emotionally-fulfilled poverty, and that's enough for now.    I mean, I haven't had time to take pictures or post them in MONTHS!!  I love my blog.  My blog has chronicled my life and times of adulthood.  I didn't even remember to make a big deal of the three year mark!  Unacceptable, I say.  So, I'm two-job-full until the end of May and that's the end of that.  Thanks to everyone for your patience while interesting blogness has gone on hold; hang tight, it'll get better.

So, who else is pretty stoked about that tax rebate thingy??

And who's actually gotten it?  Because lovely boyfriend Dano was supposed to get his last Friday (according to the timetables) and hasn't yet.  Apparently, if you 1)e-filed your taxes, 2)direct deposit and 3)a SS # ending in 0 - 20, you were supposed to get yours last Friday.

HELLO WISCONSIN!!!!!

My annual trip to the Midwest is mere weeks away, and this time I'm bringing the arm-candy....who also happens to be my darling boyfriend and likely future husband.  He must experience the truth of my roots before he takes the plunge.  So, those of you with whom I shall visit....here's the schedule.

Wednesday, May 14 - arrive late late late.  Show up at LaVina and Eric's house at some ungodly hour and plug my nose trying to avoid Eric's smell

Thursday, May 15 - sleep in.  Breakfast with the Davids.  Coffee at Roast.  If you'd like to hang out for an hour or two, this is a good day to do it.  Dinner with the Davids.  Chillax.

Friday, May 16 - morning breakfast with Vic Passante in Oconomowoc.  Lunch with the CHaus crew in Wauwatosa.  Head out to Madison and hang with as many Xangans as possible for Fish Fry Dinner and possible imbibing of alcoholic beverages.  Troy, Sara, Jon, Elissa, Chris....this means you!  And anyone else you find on the street and want to bring along.  Spend the night in Madison.

Saturday, May 17 - back to Oconomowoc.  Probably a walk around the lake.  Rehearsal at Oconomowoc Middle School.  Dinner, then a show.  Afterglow.

Sunday, May 18 - morning church at Divine Word.  Lunch with whoever wants to hang.  Head to the airport and c'mon home.
