  • Welcome to Trends in Ministry course - CFOT Western Territory

    Hello.

Welcome to the blog page for the Trends in Ministry class, Fall 2008 for the College for Officer Training at Crestmont, Western Territory of The Salvation Army.

In this blog we will discuss various trends that are currently effecting our ministry in the world.  We will explore trends that will shape ministry in the days, months and years to come.

This will be a public blog, not only will students comment but other people outside of this class will be given the opportunity to engage in dialogue, debate, agree, disagree and supplement our thinking and insight.

For students enrolled in this class, they will be required to comment twice a week on various postings that you see.

They are also required to maintain a xanga blog throughout the length of this course.  Hopefully, you will keep this going as my hope that this will become an active blog ring that will help others to think critically and be more focused in their own prayer life as to the challenges that await.

Each student will be required to post 6 topics for discussion throughout the course.

More details will be posted soon.

For those of you wondering where the other posts have gone, they are now all marked private.  This course will start with a fresh slate of ideas and comments.  I encourage anyone to join us in our discussions.

The class will start in late August.  It will meet once a week in a two hour block of time.  The blog will be on going until mid November 2008.

Until then, have a great summer!

So once you get notice that you are in this class, are you ready to start? Or do you want to wait until January 8, 2008, our first day of this class?
