  • I'm liking this shift! The only downfall to it is that you work Friday through Tuesday with only Wednesday and Thursday off. I love my weekends.
I'm making a photo montage of the "farewell week" as we're calling it, today and next week and I'm going to set it to Larry Norman's "Goodbye, Farewell" song. When it's done I'll post it. I'm also making another one of the camp over at Bob's in Mossyrock. That one will have live video footage. I'm putting my camera on a tripod and sticking it in the corner somewhere. I have a remote control, so this should get interesting...lol. Lots of editing I'm sure I'm off to work....God Bless your Fridays!

  • I work the 2-11pm shift for the next 2 days. I like these hours! I got up this morning, got some stuff done around the house. Actually got a bit of my craft/office room straightened out. I get to go in to work and only be around the jerky managment duo for 3 hours and then the leave.....so, hopefully a nice day. I'll be checking in via my phone. Now that I can respond? lol...I will be doing so. God Bless your Thursday!

  • It's getting down to the wire. I visited the Bellevue site today, went to lunch with Bob and Cliff. Talked to the best friend of the owner of this company and got to ask him some questions to find out what was being offered, what was going on, why was everyone on both bases (the Redmond campus and that one) soooooooo disorganized. You ask someone a question and it's a universal "I don't know." There are drivers who have been driving for over a month without ID, without uniforms, without the bus pass, etc. I asked him where it all was....."I don't know, but I'll find out for you." Just like he was going to find out for me why our job offers have never materialized on paper. They keep telling us "show up at the Redmond campus on Monday, August 4th and we'll put you to work." "What will we be doing?" "I don't know." lol
I want some stability!!! Greyhound calls me and I'm gone.....

  • Not alot going on today. 14 more working days until it's over. Can't wait!

Loved this article this morning, thought I'd share it. If we could "all" be so candid hu?

The song playing is my very, very, very most favorite song to sing in church , AND the church  (Faith and Victory) played that song last Sunday too!  The actual church is out- in -the- sticks compared to where I live? But I feel right at home. You know how churches always say "we're friendly, we greet everyone, everyone greets everyone there. Even the kids! And then they don't? This one does. Reminds me of going to church back in junior high when I thought it was all a joke and a cool way to score on cookies and arts-and-craft time. If I only knew then what I know now .

My friend Lisa sent me this in a message. She's too good to blog...but she'll read mine and everyone else's...lol. (In reality? She works 4-12 hour shifts as a nurse, and has absolutely no time to blog),

  • Loved it!

I found my new church finally! I absolutely love it! It's not a gigantic church, everyone is very nice, come-as-you-are, the pastor and his wife...awesome people! He teaches from the bible, and he's really good at it! His wife recognized me from yesterday and that TOTALLY impressed me! She even remembered my name! Out of hundreds of people that they talked to at the fair, she remembered my name....pretty cool beans.
I also won $250 in gas cards...yep, sure did. I left with $100 because the other 6 new people were there hoping for the same thing I was...free gas What come's around goes around. And? I'm hoping that by sharing those? They'll come back .
That is how committed I feel to this place. Never before have I walked in to a church and felt like I was totally at home. I was whining and pouting about my shift possibly changing from 2pm to 10pm when it goes over to Microsoft, "if" I stay there, etc. The ladies bible study is Tuesdays from 9:30-11:30 in the morning. Think God is trying to tell me something there also? lol.....
    Be still and know!

That was something else that hit me today. He was talking about God giving second chances, and third chances, etc. and he was talking about how at times he can get so far ahead of himself that he misses God's guidance he then used the term "be still and know," and I haven't heard a minister use that in a long, long time. It's one I always remembered, it's one I always think of, but haven't heard a minister use it. Yep, I'm home!
A great book to read if you can find the time (I'm almost done with it):

Wow I didn't know they made the movie The hiding place. That was the first book that we did our bible study with when I was in RI. I started going to a babtist church. It was a great book I love it and even thow it has been over 27 years ago. Thanks for wanting to be a friend. I am looking forward
