A Little Embarrassing

I think I might have a spelling error in the title.

Today, after Quest, (which was very good, thanks YHWH, via Chris Seay) Andrea was walking to the apt with me, and she said, "You know that you are very loved?"
I replied yes, almost too quickly, as if the ferocity of the statement had worn a little since I have heard it from Jamie Johns pretty often.
However, I have never heard that from Jamie. He says, "You are loved perfectly."
After she caught my assumption that she was talking about something else, she said, "No, I mean, by people."
And I thought- "Meryl tells me that alot."

That got me thinking-
Its probably not very good for me to hear that I am well-loved by people, at least too often, at least for my pride.
I wonder, if this is true, (and I hope it is) why is it true?
Why would I have found favor with anyone?
I am blunt, and none will argue, mildly immature.
I am laid back to a fault, and often take advantage of grace.

I return, once again to the idea of grace. (Coldplay just told me, God gave you style, and gave you grace.((AS I TYPED THAT!))

Basically, if I have found any favor with God or man, it is due to God's good grace. And NOT due to the fact that I appreciate it. Not due to the fact that I tlk about glory alot. Not due to the fact that I may love people, because thats not from me.

I am sorry if this comes off as prideful. I fear being prideful. If I am, I build a barrier to grace, even if it does work the same way as a tsunami.
Leaves nothing left.

I am sure that my folks, who, by the grace of God are amazing, have prayed amazingly often, that I grow in wisdom, stature and favor, with God and man. I appreciate that, both those who pray for me, and He who gives grace.

I do want to love everyone. And if Meryl and Andy are right, I want to be the person that these people see.
I want to make a difference and I want to beat the hell outta evil, with love.

love

Glory, once more please.

Old guy that started america-
Peace is not the absence of conflict, but the presence of Justice.

Just as that is so-

Holiness is not merely the absence of sin, but the presence of a Glory-priority.

God's Glory ALONE has to be enough to keep our feet from slipping, and our eyes from straying.

Nothing under or above God's Glory is enough to keep our desires and intentions and wills intact.

Most sin is closely related to idolatry, in that, when you seek to sin, you neglect your first Love, and therefore, treasure something less worthy than the depths of the riches of the Glory shown in His Face...- thats idolatry.

His manifold power, and awe, and wonder, and sweetness, and grace, and love, and beauty, and ferocity, and terrifying, jaw-dropping fury, and gentleness... THAT IS WHAT IS ENOUGH TO KEEP YOU FROM YOUR OLD YOKE OF SLAVERY!!!!!!

NOT self help.

NOT trying by your own power.

NOT setting your will or intentions to purity, for YOUR OWN name's sake.

BUT FOR HIS!!!

Dangit, Father, please may your Glory be seated in my heart in is place of honor.
Clean me, ravage me, have your way. I am Yours.
Slit the throat of my sins, and crush the skull of the accuser and deciever, Make your Name Great.

thoughts that made the moleskine this week

I think that God sometimes answers our ridiculous prayers so that we havemore faith to pray greater ones.

ex.) Erics computer speakers busted. He said that God wouldn't care about his speakers, as it was material, he was wrong. he prayed, they worked.

Everywhere we go, we are catalysts for change, simply because we walk in the light.

more later.
